Description

Casa Robelina

Located in the heart of Centro Historico, this charming four-bedroom house offers all the modern comforts needed to feel right at home amidst the bustling city. Nestled in the corner of Calle Hernandez-Macias, this home is quiet on the inside, protected by solid old walls. New renovations give the house a contemporary Mexican flare with French provincial accents.

You will find a cozy living room, a kitchen and dining room, and a family room with a television as you walk inside. Three bedrooms are on the first floor, two master suites with king-sized beds, and an additional guest room with three twin beds. The spaces open to a courtyard patio with a gorgeous Cantera stone fountain and a lush green landscape. A robelina palm tree located in that center is what gave the home its name.

Upstairs, a fourth bedroom has one twin bed, perfect for an older child or accompanying nanny. The upstairs has a bathroom with a shower and a stone sink, a laundry room, and a staircase that leads to the upper roof terrace. The covered sitting area with cushioned lounge allows for breathtaking views of the unmissable pink Parroquia Church.

Although the exterior is delightfully original, Casa Robelina has all the modern amenities you may need, including a whole-house water purification system (allowing you to drink water out of the taps) and a water pressure system for great flow, cable TV, and wifi.

Beyond the home, San Miguel de Allende offers incredible excitement. There are plenty of sites to see, historic buildings to explore and the best dining and shopping options for all. The colonial-era city is known for its Spanish Baroque architecture, art scene, and cultural festivals so be sure to check the calendar for one of the many events. The cobblestoned city center houses the pink neo-Gothic, catholic church, Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel.

Charming San Miguel de Allende

Casa Robelina is a beautiful home in a super location in the historic center. Even our guide for a day told us we were in one of the best locations possible. The house itself is beautifully decorated and comes with everything you can imagine in the kitchen for cooking or for calling in a chef. The beds are very comfortable, the home is generally beautiful. The host, Cecilia recommended our chef as well as some of the best restaurants in town. The offerings at local restaurants are world class! There are many rooftop bars and restaurants with incredible views. The rooftop terrace at Casa Robelina also has a great view with comfortable outdoor furniture for relaxing. We went horseback riding, learned much history from a personal guide, enjoyed the market for anything you can think of, ventured to the hot springs at Escondido (get there early) and spent most of one day luxuriating at the wonderful spa and pool at the Matilda Hotel. This is the safest city I have been in since I was a kid. Walking around even after dark is enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. You will love Casa Robelina, the host Cecilia and San Miguel!”
