Mammoth Mountain Ski-In/Ski Out, Walk to Canyon Lodge, Drive to Yosemite
Please read “Things To Know” below before booking.
Enjoy the mountains year-round in this completely remodeled condo right near Canyon Lodge. It doesn't get any closer to skiing than this! Mammoth West 135, known as "Hirsh Haus", is a 2-level, 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom, corner-unit condo with direct access from the outside (no shared interior hallway, and its own private front porch and entrance).
Our unit is perched up on a hill with stunning views of the slopes. It is accessible as ski in/ski out (from the Ski Back Trail), and it is a very short walking distance from Canyon Lodge, where you can start your day on the mountain, or catch a gondola down to the Village. For your convenience, there is a lockable gear closet just outside the front door on our private front porch area. We will provide you with a key to use it during your stay. We just ask that all gear (skis, snowboards, bikes, etc.) be stored in this gear closet, or anywhere out on our front porch area (just not inside, please).
The condo looks out on Lincoln Mountain, Mammoth’s Canyon Lodge, and Chairlift 22 (aka “Skier’s Paradise”). There are multiple lakes within 5-10 miles, and Yosemite National Park is less than an hour away. With local activities ranging from world-class skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and trout fishing to mountain biking and summer music/wine/beer festivals, Mammoth West is an excellent location year-round, and a great place to stay when visiting Mammoth Lakes and the surrounding Eastern Sierra region.
Sorry - no pets of any kind, including service animals.
When you enter the condo on the main level, you will find an open floor plan that is very spacious with high, vaulted, wood beam ceilings. This main level hosts the living room, dining room, kitchen, and a primary bedroom with ensuite bathroom. You will notice newer carpet, slate-looking tile floor, newly painted cabinets, granite counters, and copper sinks throughout.
The living space looks out on Lincoln Mountain, Mammoth’s Canyon Lodge, and Chairlift 22. There are comfortable leather couches, a large flat-screen smart TV, a gas fireplace, a game table, and access to the outdoor deck, which has amazing views. The dining room is just off the living room, and opens into the gourmet kitchen, which is fully equipped with everything you need to cook for the entire group.
The upstairs primary bedroom has a comfortable king-size bed, closet storage, and a flat-screen smart TV. Its ensuite bathroom features a granite vanity, and a separate shower area with a walk-in shower.
Downstairs you will find 3 more bedrooms and a second bathroom. The downstairs primary bedroom has another king-size bed, a large flatscreen smart TV, closet and dresser storage, and views of Canyon Lodge and the slopes.
The third bedroom has a queen-size bed, a flatscreen smart TV, closet and dresser storage, and the same views of Canyon Lodge and the slopes.
The fourth bedroom is a cute bunk room (2 bunk beds, equaling 4 twins) with a large flatscreen smart TV and dresser storage. It’s tucked away and perfect for kids.
The second bathroom is located downstairs off the hallway, with easy access for all three downstairs bedrooms. It has a granite vanity, and a combined shower and oversized bathtub.
Each bedroom has a white noise machine, a wireless iPhone charger, and a flat-screen smart TV, offering a variety of streaming apps for guests to log into with their own accounts. There is also cable TV, Amazon Alexa (upstairs) with enabled Amazon Music, and password-protected, high-speed wireless internet access throughout the unit. Towels and sheets are included, there is a gas grill on the deck, and the entry way has many hooks for hanging ski gear and a basket for storage of gloves, hats, etc.
As a guest of our Mammoth West condo, you will have access to some very nice common-area amenities including a large, outdoor jacuzzi/hot tub, and a summer-time pool, tennis court, sand volleyball court, and half basketball court (the courts are located just one level up the hill from the condo). There is also year-round access (down just two flight of stairs) to an onsite recreation building equipped with a ping pong table, foosball table, and plenty of comfortable lounge seating around a fireplace and large flat-screen TV. Within this rec building, there is a laundry room with coin-operated washers and dryers, changing rooms, bathrooms, and a hot sauna room. Directly outside of the rec building is the outdoor pool (open in the summer), and a large outdoor (but covered) jacuzzi / hot tub (open year-round).
Things To Know
Our unit is located at the very end of a single-lane, dead-end access road, and there is no parking allowed along this access road. Rather this road must be kept clear for emergency vehicles and for snow removal during the winter season. Parking is available, but it is not directly in front of our unit. There is an upper parking lot above the unit near the tennis court (our recommendation), and a lower parking lot below the unit, with outdoor staircases accessing both parking areas. Please view the sitemap in our listing photos for the location of our condo unit in relation to your parking options. Parking spaces are not assigned, but parking is only available in designated Mammoth West parking spots.
If you want, you can drive your vehicle down this single lane access road to the dead-end in order to do a very quick loading/unloading in front of our condo unit. However, do so at your own risk, especially during winter months when the road is covered in snow. Since it is a single-lane road, reversing in or out may be quite challenging, especially if visibility is bad because of snow or nighttime darkness.
Again, no pets of any kind, including service animals. Thank you.
