Westhampton 5 BR Estate
Relax and enjoy this classic historic colonial home with five bedrooms and five en suite bathrooms (five full bathrooms, one powder room, one outdoor shower), on mature lush grounds south of the Montauk Highway, close to the water in Westhampton.
This historic Suffolk county residence was built shortly after the civil war. The initial part of the home was also used as a stagecoach stop for New York City travelers to the Hamptons and Montauk. The original kitchen and dining room were large enough to service more than one stage coach. The remodeled home has many beautiful details with every amenity and convenience that the stage coach travelers of the 19th century would have never imagined.
The formal dining room, large formal living room, stainless steel kitchen and butler's pantry are perfect for entertaining or for any size family. The patio and side porch (side covered porch is secure for young children) provide space for formal or informal relaxation. The ground floor master bedroom is easily accessible for all ages. The out door shower on brick patio adjacent to the pool is a refreshing end to any outdoor activity. The pool is not accessible from any house door which is a safety factor for families with young children to prevent accidental pool entry.
The butler's pantry has an additional refrigerator/freezer, sink and dish washer which is perfect for large families, groups or entertaining.
A separate two bedroom apartment with full kitchen, living area, bathroom with steam shower is available for additional charge. These living quarters are perfect for housekeeper, nanny, in-laws etc. This two bedroom apartment has a separate outdoor entrance, a separate entrance to the butler's pantry and communication to the main house through a double locked door from one of the apartment's bedrooms.
The salt water gunite SALT WATER POOL is very kind to the skin and eyes of the swimmer; the difference will be noticed on the first day in the pool. The har-tru tennis & bocce courts, family room, play room provide space for outdoor and indoor activities.
The property is located in Westhampton with many local recreational and social activities. The Suffolk Theater in Riverhead and the Westhampton Beach Arts Center in Westhampton Beach have nationally known entertainers and other activities for all ages. Westhampton Beach is a comfortable 1 1/2 mile walk. The North and South Forks are a convenient drive. But vacationers will find that every need is on the property and will especially enjoy the heated gunite salt water pool, tennis, bocce, croquet and the magnificent landscaping.
Visitors will usually prefer the daily beach pass. Westhampton Free Library guest cards are available in the guest information book. The library has an excellent young adult and children section. Fines for unreturned items will be deducted from the deposit. The home is equipped with smoke detectors that operate by both ionizing and photoelectric systems, the safest and best of all systems.

Westhampton Estate Home
We just returned from a seven day family reunion in Westhampton. When we first entered the home and took inventory we found a very comfortable older home that had been updated. I believe the house is over 150 years old. We assigned rooms and immediately noticed that there were very small closets and small bathrooms. It ended up not mattering as the outdoor areas are fabulous. The pool, tennis court, boulle court made it the most fun house for this group. The outdoor patio was a place of gathering for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We played games at Happy Hour and discussed our wins and defeats at dinner. The town is adorable ad only 2 miles away. We had guests from the age of 18-88 and all had a very wonderful time. The beach that the public can use is pretty far away. Our weather was perfect and we really had an amazing time. Do not miss the drive to Montauk and spend the day at Gurney's. It is well worth the drive. we had beds to lay on at the beach and a private butler. The lunch was sensational. Starr Boggs is the place to go for dinner. It is difficult to get a reservation but we went twice. Loved the trip. ”
