Description

You will feel like royalty at this magnificent property.
Located in the heart of France, the Chateau de Busset towers and fortresses are an exciting attraction, featured in France's list of historic properties. Its extensive gardens and some areas of the Estate are regularly open to visitors.

During your stay - for up to 16 guests - you will have access to 8 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, as well as immaculate living rooms and common areas, which bring together a spectacular collection of furniture and works of art from different eras! Wifi access is available in the dining room.

An architectural masterpiece which links the Middle Ages with the Renaissance, fortress and ancestral home - the Chateau de Busset is an eloquent witness of the fascinating times of French history.

This property is so unique and spectacular that you will be amazed at every moment by the many layers of history these stone walls contain!
Simple walks through the gardens or along the walls will be exciting journeys back in time.

The tower dominating the valley of the Allier river was a creation of its time - a feudal home erected to repulse attacks, defend its sovereignty, and protect itself. Its ramparts, whose longer side presents itself from the front, the straight moat-protected walls, the mighty keep crowned by galleries and battlements, and the elegant yet imposing Orion tower, still bear witness to that purpose.

Covered by an octagonal roof, the Orion tower (opposite) received its name from the constellation that the Knights of the Temple enjoyed observing from its top.

Tradition tells that since the end of the 15th century, the Castle has been the property of the non-reigning direct descendants of Saint-Louis.
The origins of the Castle of Busset resonate with the weapons of the Templars. Castle construction started at the end of the 13th century. The frescos that decorate the oratory of the southeast tower, probably date from the end of the 14th century, bear witness to the strong sense of spirituality permeating that house.

Staying at this authentic Chateau will be a lifetime experience!

Once in a lifetime experience

This is a true castle. Unbelievable experience to follow in the footsteps of royalty. The host become your friends. The dinners were the best we had in France. this is not a luxury hotel, but a private, magical place with all the delightful quirks of living in an historic building.”
