July 2026Amazing Getaway
This was, without question, a fantastic place to stay. We don’t hand five stars out often, but this property earned it. The setting was beautiful and wonderfully quiet, exactly what we were hoping for. The dock was a highlight of the trip: well maintained, safe, and giving us remarkable access to the river—it fulfilled our daughter’s longtime dream of having her very own dock to enjoy. Inside, the home was perfectly equipped and thoughtfully appointed, right down to a great selection of books, weights, and fitness equipment. It truly left little to be desired. Outdoor living here is exceptional—a hot tub, river frontage, a mosquito-proof dining area, and a fire pit made every evening enjoyable (sadly, local fire restrictions in place during our stay kept us from starting a fire, but it didn’t take away from the experience). The canoe and kayaks were a favorite: we spent mornings paddling upriver, listening to birdsong, and taking in the abundant local wildlife. We loved having complete privacy while still being just 15 minutes from a major ski resort, charming towns, lakes, and bike trails. Our Hosts were incredibly generous with local tips and recommendations, which made exploring the area even easier. We’re already planning our trip back!”
