What you will love about this neighborhood
Ranked by National Geographic "Top 10 Summer Trips", USA Today "10 Best Coastal Drives", Fodors "10 Best Small Towns in America" and Countless more - http://www.traversecity.com/traverse-city-accolades-306/

Traverse City has earned its reputation as a four-season destination thanks to its almost endless offerings of activities.

Outdoor recreation enthusiasts can choose from both summer and winter sports galore (Hiking, Biking, Sailing, Kayaking, Scuba Diving, skiing, snowshoeing, golf, and the list goes). And when you need a break from the great outdoors, you can take in a film at the restored State Theatre, tour a lighthouse, visit one of our many art galleries or take in a museum. Stroll though our vibrant downtown shopping district or venture into the shops, galleries and restaurants at the historic Grand Traverse Commons.

And while our town has been voted one of the most charming places in the country, it's anything but sleepy! You'll find live music for every taste including jazz, classical, indy and rock at our local restaurants and watering holes. Or visit one of the area's two casinos for some vegas-style gambling.

Thanks to its award-winning wines and talented local chefs, Traverse City enjoys an international reputation as a place of surprisingly sophisticated food and drink.

For two years in a row, Midwest Living has listed Traverse City among its Five Top Food Towns, and Bon Appetit has listed it as one of America’s Top Five Foodie towns.

Our eclectic cuisine borrows freely from other regional styles and relies heavily on imagination, boldness and spunk. Capitalizing on fresh ingredients from nearby farms, forests, lakes, streams and orchards our restaurateurs seem to be on a mission to showcase the best of what the area has to offer.

And what could go better with all this culinary bounty than a fine wine? The beautiful Leelanau and Old Mission peninsulas, which our home resides are dotted with vineyards and award-winning wineries that have established a firm reputation for crisp, intensely flavorful wines.

Whatever you choose, you'll see why Traverse City is your complete destination for True North fun!
About our house!
This chic waterfront getaway is a short distance to lake Michigan beach, and you can float or swim to downtown Glen Arbor on the river. Four single kayaks with life jackets are provided for guests to use.

Two cozy living rooms with plush furnishings, a flat-screen Smart TV equipped with HULU, Netflix, and Disney+ with your own logins, allow for ample entertainment on rainy days. These two living rooms also have pull out queen sofa beds. If you're looking for some family fun or group activity, check out our board game collection. There are also kids' toys and books available.

Head out to the veranda through the sliding glass doors after making your book selection, slip into the outdoor chairs and enjoy the fire. Morning coffees in the cool breeze are also a treat. Outdoor firepit in the back yard, Adirondack chairs right on the dock extending into the river, and a picnic table will surely create memories.

This cottage boasts two downstairs bedrooms (King size bed in each room) and two upstairs bedrooms plus a sleeping loft above to come home to after exploring the area. The ground-level bedrooms are equipped with King beds and en-suite bathrooms. This upstairs level has a full bath. The sleeping loft has two additional twin-sized beds. If you're traveling with a young one, you'll find two Pack and Play cribs and a highchair in the closet.
The cottage has two full baths and one-half bath. All bathrooms feature high-quality amenities.

Two fully equipped kitchens on each level have everything you'll need to cook up tasty meals, including new stainless steel appliances, an instant-pot, a crock pot, a blender, and two separate coffee stations with an assortment of coffee and tea available.

Gather to eat in the indoor dining room or the outdoor dining set in the screened-in porch. The kitchen islands and outdoor picnic tables provide plenty of room for the whole group to enjoy meals together.

Keep in mind that this is a three-story cottage with stairs to access the upper-level living area, two bedrooms, and one loft bedroom.

Our cottage is right on Crystal River, a short distance from Lake Michigan. The property is shaded with trees, and a nice breeze often blows. Ceiling fans and/or portable fans are installed and/or provided for each room. We also have A/C units throughout our home to ensure our guests have the best experience possible. The location of the A/C units is in each of the upstairs bedrooms; a unit in the loft sleeping area; another A/C unit in the dining room. The downstairs includes an A/C unit in the master bedroom. One downstairs bedroom does not have an AC unit but has a ceiling fan, and being on the ground level, our guests often tell us how nice it is to be on the water and enjoy the breeze.

Lovely Week

We had a wonderful, relaxing time in a beautiful setting. The house had everything we needed, and we loved chillin' on the upstairs porch. The Management team was very good and responsive. We would love to be there again. ”

Nice for Summer

This is a very nice cabin. I would suggest going in the summer to enjoy the lake. In winter, there was a lot of snow and roads were bad. Heat is a little hard to regulate, but it works great. Highly recommend for summer time!”

Our stay at this great exchange was delightful. It was the epitome of what a “home away from home” should be. It was very comfortable, and provided all conveniences we needed. Fall in that area of Michigan is colorful, and the weather for late October, early November was perfect. It was a “do it again” experience. ”
