Beautiful house and surroundings

Such a beautiful setting for vacation as a family. We loved all the space we had and the ping pong table for our kids. We loved the access to hiking right from the neighborhood and loved our time spent at the falls. There was great access to other fun things to do in Black Mountain and Asheville was an easy drive away. The house was well done and very comfortable. The view out back was second to none. We also said that it looked like we were in Jurassic Park. ”

Thanksgiving week

Very comfortable. Great for hiking but would have been even better if the trails had been completely open but understandable due to conditions after Helene. Views were great. A few miles back to Black Mountain but several good places to eat despite being affected by Helene. A number of interesting shops. Home had a number of things for activities, ping pong and pool, video game machine with 60 games. Nice TVs located throughout the house with all the channels you probably need. Internet was better than some places I have stayed in major cities. The house was comfortable and large enough for our group of 8 which included 3 teenagers. Kitchen was more than adequate including a number of refrigerators which was helpful before and after Thanksgiving. We would go again. ”

Christmas Family Vacation

This was our first experience as Thirdhome guests was fantastic! I would describe the house as beautifully chic, spacious, and impeccably clean. The comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and cozy ambiance made our stay delightful. Coming from Florida for a quiet Christmas with kids and grandparents, the nearby trails offered an exciting day of exploration. Highly recommend this place – the photos don't capture its true charm! Though the road was a bit steep, it was well-maintained, ensuring our safety. Fred and his team were a pleasure to work with. Thank you, and we look forward to returning in the near future!”

A wonderful retreat!

We absolutely loved our stay! The Mountain View, the quiet, relaxing & fresh air as we sat on the outdoor porch was so inviting. We built fires in the fireplace, cooked in the well - stocked kitchen, and grilled outside. Each room had personality and warmth. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. A little bit of heaven

What a beautiful home and community in the NC mountains! This stunning property is not only extremely spacious (5 bedrooms and plenty of bunk beds) but also the most entertaining 3rd Home we have ever stayed in: pool table, ping pong, arcade games, hot tub, media room, books, games - perfect for an extended family vacation. The place we spent the most time in was the screen porch . . . comfortable seating, TV, fireplace, and The View!!!! We didn't drive into Black Mountain as much as we'd planned because the road is very curvy and it does take almost half an hour to get there, but once you do, the town is charming. Lots of shops and very good restaurants, and the flagship Ingles grocery store. Very hospitable and attentive hosts! ”
