Perched majestically atop a windswept bluff, commanding breathtaking vistas of the untamed Mendocino coast, stands an extraordinary sanctuary crafted from eco-salvaged redwood - the Brewery Gulch Inn. Its splendid windows perfectly frame postcard-worthy scenes of majestic pines and the rhythmic dance of the ocean waves beyond.

Adding to the allure is the delectable fare, thoughtfully prepared by a skilled executive chef, and featuring locally-sourced, organic ingredients. The included full cooked-to-order Breakfast and nightly, complimentary Wine Hour that comes with a light dinner/heavy appetizer, are a delectable journey into the world of culinary art.

The History
After the Great Earthquake of 1906, San Francisco's rebuilding effort utilized wood from the North Coast, including the Big River area. Logging was prominent during the summer months, and remnants of 26 wooden dams, once used for transporting logs, remain along the Big River. During a 20th-century earthquake retrofitting project, perfectly preserved Old Growth Redwood "sinker" logs were discovered, and 15,000 board feet of this virgin Redwood was eco-salvaged by the original owner's own hands and used to construct the present-day Brewery Gulch Inn in 2001. The inn's location offers breathtaking views of Smuggler's Cove and borders the vast expanse of the Jackson Demonstration State Forest.
