July 2026Great position with incredible views
We had a lovely quiet stay at Oke Beach House. It's fair to say its pretty remote, 40 minutes from Russell, which itself is a pretty small town, and along a mix of tarmac and dirt roads. We were fortunate to have incredible mid-winter weather and simply enjoyed a nice quiet week away from the city. Awesome sunrises, sunsets and the usual collection of NZ rainbows. Thanks for a great week.”

July 2024Utterly Delightful
Oke Beach House is a stunning house in the most extraordinarily beautiful location. Everything about the house is generous - the views of the Bay of Islands, the spatial arrangement of the house, the quality and workmanship in its construction, and especially the owner’s (and house keeper’s) preparation - including a generous stack of firewood and kindling to keep the fire burning when the sun went down. We were a group of 8 friends from university days in Sydney and the house provided the perfect venue. We weren’t able to get a private chef in but the wonderful kitchen did encourage everyone to dig deep into their culinary repertoire! Our stay was in July but we had lovely sunny days (morning sun on one deck and afternoon on the other!) We also had some great walks and swims. (We did a small part of the famous Cape Brett Track that leaves virtually from the back door - and would love to come back one day and complete the walk.) Many thanks to our hosts for making their wonderful home available!”

February 2024Unbelievable views and stunning home!
Stunning luxury home with amazing views over Bay of Islands. The spacious kitchen and living areas are well equipped with modern appliances and thoughtful pantry extras....but we were blessed with hot sunny evenings and loved our meals from the Weber barbecue in the outdoor living area. There is a media room and lots of books and magazines for entertainment. Truly a place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the environment. An extremely considerate and helpful host /owner. A perfect week, thank you so much.”
