Total CHILL!

Caye Caulker is a totally chill island. We enjoyed our week there riding bikes, hanging out at beach clubs, reading by the pool, fishing and eating out. The food/restaurants were so delicious that we did not cook even one meal. The Lotus restaurant was so good that we ate there three nights. The staff at Bluzen is amazing, friendly and helpful. It was a bonus to meet the owners, Melanie & Walter and share our experiences with Thirdhome. They were so friendly and accommodating with our dates. What a bonus! ”

Lovely Belize

We had a wonderful stay at Latitude Adjustment. Melanie was so accommodating as we needed to change dates due to an unexpected surgery. The island is rustic and very natural- no high rises or pavement which was a real treat. The resort is lovely and has good food options. It is very easy to get to the south island for more food/entertainment. ”

Blu Zen

As my husband said “this was our best vacation ever.” The staff and food at Blu Zen could not have been better. Our place was perfect. The island activities and South Island were perfect, the peace and tranquility of the North Island was the best! Definitely recommend the golf cart for exploration. ”

Lattitude Adjustment was amazing!

Caye Caulker is a beautiful island. Blue Zen resort was one of our favorite island resorts we've ever visited. The staff were wonderful, the restaurants were great and the other amenities were kept in great shape. Melanie, the owner, was fantastic and communicated with us well before, during and after our trip. We also did some 5 star excursions. We caught our first tarpon one day with Chasin Tails and we did a private snorkeling/sight seeing excursion with Hugo aboard Lattitude 17 which was probably our favorite day!! We definitely hope to return!”

Great Condo / Not-So-Great Resort

The condo was comfortable and just as pictured. The 4-star rating applies to the condo itself, not to Blu Zen in general. Our experience at Blu Zen overall was nothing to rave about. Unfortunately, we had very bad weather during our stay and it rained 5 of the 7 days. Of course, that is no fault of the resort as they obviously cannot be blamed for the weather. HOWEVER, because of the rain, it prompted us to eat at the restaurant on-property more often than we would have liked. The Lotus restaurant prepared tasty food, but we experienced several incidents of very poor cleanliness issues. On two separate occasions we found very long pieces of hair deep inside our food. I know it wasn't from any of our heads because the hair was literally cooked inside a hamburger. On another occasion, my husband ordered a salad and they had clearly not washed the produce because there were huge black chunks of soil throughout his meal. And finally, my daughter ordered a grilled cheese sandwich that had a very large hunk of mold in it. And not from the kind of cheese that is supposed to have mold in it. We certainly would not have continued to eat at this restaurant had it not been for the horrible weather. While the condo was very beautiful and well-appointed, we would not return based on our overall experience at the resort.”
