September 2024Gorgeous and Generous Home that held up well during Hurricane Helene
Love and Luck is a jewel. My husband and I, along with our son, daughter-in-law and five grandkids (ages 12, 10, 9, 4, and 2) enjoyed 4 blissful days of beach and bikes and yummy food before the hurricane. The home is equipped with many games and puzzles, a fully stocked kitchen, great novels and books about the area, and a widow's walk with an amazing view of the bay where the ocean meets the river. When hurricane warnings blared on our phones, we tucked ourselves into a downstairs hall and closet and spent the night safe and sound. The electricity was out on the whole island for the remainder of our stay, but we were abundantly thankful for that inconvenience in retrospect. Erica, the owner, is a jewel and a great photographer. She photographed our family the evening before the storm.”
