Very beautiful setting and home! Wonderful unique experience of the best of Italy countryside. Good location for wine and food Tours in Tuscany and Umbria, wonderful terrace, garden and swimming pool. Easy driving visits to great towns of Cortona, Assisi, Montepulciano and many more. The hosts (Alina & Lucia) were were wonderful and very helpful. Great organic cooking class at the main farm of il Fontanaro. Loved everything about our stay. Thank you so much Lucia and Alina... we will never forgot our stay! Keith & Becky Brown”
Brunello Villa Molte Bello!!!
We loved our stay at Brunello Villa! It is located in the most beautiful Umbrian town of Paciano. The villa was very comfortable and Lucia and Alina were great hosts. We spent an afternoon touring their beautiful farm and getting a cooking lesson. It was a great trip and we would love to return next year! Grazie Lucia and Alina!”
5 star gourmet experience
We flew from New York to Rome and then took the train from Rome to Chiusi about 90 minutes away and rented a Hertz car there. The owners of Brunello Villa, Lucia and Alina, Lucia’s daughter were marvelous hosts and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived to our departure. Their tips on local food, restaurants, touring and shopping were a great shortcut to enhancing the enjoyment of the region. The villa is charming, nicely furnished with lovely landscaped grounds. There are three comfortable bedrooms, 3 baths, and we stayed there with a friend of ours from Los Angeles. There are at least three local restaurants only a few minutes drive from the villa. One in the town center will also deliver! One of the restaurants just outside of town, Il Casale, was fabulous, hosted by a little woman who is an incredible cook and very well known in the area. Her specialties are grilled polenta, bruschetta with Norcia prosciutto and her own superb olive oil. Our favorite course was the wild boar. Since we were there in truffle and porcini season, we benefited from delicious local meals with these delectable treats. The village of Paciano, population of 1,000, is a 15th century dream village that looks like a movie set. The people in the village are very friendly and the local grocer is five minutes from the villa and provides all the essentials anyone could need for their stay at the villa. Nearby Panicale is another 15th century jewel of a hill town. Since Lucia owns an organic olive farm and we were there during harvest time we participated in the processing of olive oil at their mill. Nancy, also took a cooking course for one day and learned a lot from Alina who runs the olive mill and the cooking lessons. They also have an organic winery. We spent our days driving to our old neighborhood where we lived some years ago, towns of Montepulciano and Pienza in nearby Tuscany. We visited the Saturday market at Citta de Pieve during the saffron festival - less than a half-hour away and had lunch on the shores of Lake Trasimeno in Passignano where Deruta pottery is available in several local shops. Best, Nancy and Dennis ”
Wonderful week!!! Beautiful Villa! Great Hostess!!!!
A wonderful Villa! Perfect location to make day trips to Florence and many Tuscan hill towns. Beautiful view and Lucia is a great hostess - very warm, helpful, fun and a pleasure to get to know. Our stay couldn't have been better in any way! We really would like to come again!!”
Another Amazing stay a Brunello!
After last years amazing stay we decided to go back and take our family with us. We had all been really looking forward to our trip and once again we had a fantastic time. There were 6 adults and a small baby and there was plenty of room for all of us. Brunello Villa is in such a fantastic area. There is so much to do and nothing is far away. It was lovely to see Lucia and Alina again. Their hospitality and enthusiasm is second to none and I would highly recommend a stay here to everyone! ”
Two lovely weeks at Villa Brunello!
We had a wonderful time in Villa Brunello - so imaginatively created by Lucia and Sandro. From the moment we arrived we knew it would be a special holiday for three generations of our family. My father loved being able to use all parts of the villa in his wheelchair and when we did not feel like exploring the wonderful nearby hilltop towns we basked in the sunshine and gazed at the beautiful landscape from the loggia. The children loved playing in the garden and running amongst the olive trees. The house is thoughtfully equipped and we arrived to find a basket of food supplies with Lucia's own wine, olive oil and honey. Lucia attended to all our needs and gave excellent advice on local sites and fiestas, which made our holiday a very special experience.”
The best hospitality ever!
We had a wonderful week at Brunello and Lucia and her daughter Alina were the best hosts imaginable. The villa itself is beautifully designed and furnished in a traditional rustic fashion and it is very well equipped with an excellent kitchen and lovely bathrooms, wireless internet and sky TV. It is an easy walk to the village which has two excellent restaurants. We were invited for drinks by Lucia at their farmhouse where we met other guests, we spent a morning having a cooking lesson and then ate lunch with the family and they recommended and booked a local restaurant for us. Lucia also helped ensure we made the most of our stay assisting with our itinerary and advising on parking etc. The area is great for exploring Umbria and Tuscany. We visited Assisi, Lake Trasimeno and Perugia. We would love to go back as there is so much more to see! Highly recommended.”
Wow what an amazing holiday!
Brunello Villa is beautiful, super comfortable and has absolutely everything that you could possibly need. On our arrival we were greeted with an amazing basket of beautiful tomatoes, chili and kiwi fruit, a superb chilled bottle of white wine and a lovely bottle of olive oil all of which had been produced buy Lucia the owner and her daughter Alina at Fontenaro their home which is just up the road. They had also been so thoughtful as to provide us with everything we would need for breakfast the next day. Brunello is in a fantastic location. There is so much to see and do and all not that far away. Montepulciano, and Cortona are a 30 min drive and Rome and Florence are an hour away on the train, to name but a few. If you don't fancy doing anything the pool area and gardens are the most perfect place to relax. Brunello is a short walk from the centre of the village of Paciano where you will find 2 lovely little restaurants and a small supermarket that has everything you need. Lucia and Alina are the most amazing hosts. They made us and our two Labradors feel like part of their extended family. They both have a huge knowledge of all there is to know about the area. Please take every recommendation they offer you, you definitely wont be disappointed! We had the most delicious pasta we have ever eaten from a little shop not far away, where you could see the ladies hand making it out the back. We also went to a beautiful patisserie which would not have been out of place in the chic centre of Paris or Rome. We enjoyed a wonderful wine tour of the Avignonesi Vineyard followed by a lunch over looking the rolling countryside- Perfect! Lucia and Alina are great animal lovers, they have two handsome chocolate labradors Hector and Bacco. They treated our dogs as their own and even looked after them for us so we could go out for the day. It was hugely appreciated by us and the dogs loved their time with their new Italian friends! We came home one day to find them harvesting the grapes, it was so lovely to get involved and be able to help out. We have the most amazing memories from our holiday. The only bad thing was it went by far too quickly! We are already planning on going back and taking some of our family! I can not recommend Brunello Villa highly enough. It is the most perfect place for anyone who is wanting a truly authentic Italian holiday.”
