February 2026Delightful!
This is such an interesting place. The home is well equipped, beautiful setting and welcoming hosts. For peace and quiet and proximity to the Blue Mountain hiking trails, towns and wineries. We'd love to return.”

January 2026Wildacres – Blackheath, Blue Mountains, Australia
Wildacres is an exceptional home and property, perfectly set in the heart of the Blue Mountains. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a place designed for both adventure and deep relaxation. The location is outstanding. We spent several days hiking directly from the property and enjoyed a spectacular walk from Govetts Leap to Evans Lookout, with breathtaking escarpment views the entire way. Picnicking at nearby Hargreaves Lookout was another highlight — a simple lunch elevated by one of the most beautiful outlooks in the region. Closer to home, Wildacres truly shines. Evenings were a joy: making pizzas in the outdoor pizza oven, relaxing in the hot tub under the stars, and then warming the house with a beautiful fire inside. The home is extremely comfortable, well appointed, and perfectly suited to the mountain climate. We also loved exploring the local area — delicious scones and apple pie at the Megalong Valley Tea Rooms, great dinner at Ates Blackheath, and a round of golf at Blackheath Golf Club, which was a wonderful way to take in the scenery at a slower pace. Wildacres is more than just a place to stay — it offers a rhythm of life that allows you to slow down, reconnect with nature, and truly enjoy the Blue Mountains. We had a memorable week and would happily return. The communication and follow up with the owner Kris was excellent. Highly recommended to fellow ThirdHome members. ”
