Fabulous stay in the heart of the French Quarter
Shelly’s place in New Orleans was brilliant. We were there a week and it was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter. The location couldn’t have been better - right on Bourbon Street. The place was immaculate when we arrived, it was really nicely furnished and had a really cozy garden furnished with outside seating. Any questions or queries we had were quickly answered by Shelly’s and she was always on hand to help give us recommendations of where to go, as well as some useful advice about the French quarter itself. I would wholeheartedly recommend Shelly’s place - it has everything you could want for a stay in French Quarter. ”
Excellent amenities and great location! Within walking distance of all the wonderful sights in the French Quarter, as well as the music scene on Frenchmen Street. You will not run out of things to do - renowned restaurants, iconic sights, music bars and shopping.”
We had the best time at this charming apt in the french quarter. As I told Shelly, it reminded me of my modeling days in Europe. I loved the decor and the location was prime! Shelly was so wonderful to give a long list of great restaurants and attractions and she was right on about everything, as we ate and drank our way through NOLA....lol! The weather was thankfully mild which was such a blessing. We will definitely be back in the near future... ”
Everything about this home was charming. Shelly gave us so many great recommendations and was available to us for questions. Loved the courtyard and the location. We can't wait to go back. ”
Great location for French Quarter Get-Away
Vieux Carre was a lovely French Quarter apartment in an old historic building with a lot of character and charm. It was perfect for the two of us. Shelly provided us with outstanding information about where to go and places to eat. She especially helped us by encouraging us not to rent a car and deal with parking. She made us feel very welcome and helped us have a wonderful stay. ”
Good French Quarter location
Located at the corner of Bourbon and Esplanade streets on the outer edge of the French Quarter, the apartment was very quiet, small, nicely appointed and fine for my wife and I. The unit has air conditioning and ceiling fans. The unit does not have a microwave or guest WiFi connection. A free WiFi coffee shop was 5 blocks away. The living room/kitchen is small. The only TV is in the master bedroom. Thin the pool area and is freee small open mezzanine with a double bed, is accessible via a tight circular stairs. Parking space is at a premium everywhere in the French Quarter. Taxis and the streetcar gave us access to everyplace we wanted to go. Common/free laundry area is outside the unit, inside the pool area. ”
Joy at Vieux Carre
This flat was the perfect mixture of history and old world charm and modern convenience. Located in a lovely old neighborhood, we were only steps away from all that New Orleans has to offer; the restaurants, the music, the historical buildings and shops and most of all the enchanting people. We loved the walled courtyard and it's lush landscaping. Our hosts could not have been more helpful and informative. I hope to return , ”
Big easy, big time!!!
We had a wonderful stay in New Orleans at this beautiful location. The apartment was wonderful, just what you would expect in the french quarter, very french, nice and with the best location right on Bourbon St. The private garden is lovely to relax and have al fresco dinner. The owner was most helpful in our vacation being so perfect. They were always ready and able to provide all the information necessary and pertinent to make things easy for us. Excellent recommendations on restaurants and bars was provided all the time. If you want to spend time listening to jazz and having the best food you can imagine, this is the city and the apartment to go. If you are traveling with family the place is suitable for four persons, better if the other two are children. There is only one full bath to be shared so if you plan to travel with friends make sure they are very close. If anyone knows of a good diet please send it to me. Have to loose some pounds (several) after the trip. Enjoy the south and thanks to the owners. Will definitely love to go back.”
Fantasic condo in a great location.
Stayed at this wonderful condo and really loved it. It has everything you need and is close to French Quarter without being in the middle of tourist areas. ”
Had a wet and wonderful weekend in a lovely condo. The courtyard was beautiful. It was quiet but close enough to everything. Great place for two people but too crowded for more.”
Stylish, funky and sooo well located!
Thank you so much to the owner, Shelly, for all of the helpful information prior to our arrival and for sharing this magnificent little retreat in such a perfect location in the French Quarter. It was a wonderful mix of historic character, contemporary facilities, funky decor and great location. We could sleep peacefully at night and yet a short stroll took us to the action in Bourbon Street or Frenchman Street. A vacation stay packed with great food and music! Thanks again.”
