November 2025Location, location, location!
Margana 21 is a real gem. It is in a beautiful sector of Rome, just a short walk to just about everything imaginable. There is a cooking school offering classes downstairs and several charming and affordable restaurants just outside the building. The building is absolutely charming. The apartment is very spacious and gorgeous. The main bedroom is very large and well-appointed with its own private balcony offering a spectacular view. The small bedroom has a sleeper sofa, which was surprisingly comfortable. The kitchen wasn't used because we opted to dine out for every meal. Caution to those who have trouble climbing steps. This property necessitates the ability to climb several steps just to go in and out of the apartment. But, you will find it totally worth it, and it helps work off those pasta dishes you will definitely enjoy in Rome. Finally, a word about our host. She is just wonderful! She communicated well and was very warm and gracious. She made several recommendations for meals and activities, and every one was spot on. We hope to return to this spectacular property.”

October 2025Great apartment in ideal location
Ilaria was a great contact in the lead up to the trip. The apartment has a nice living area and kitchen, a primary bedroom, a very small second room with a pull out couch, and 2 bathrooms. There is a washer and equipment to hang dry clothes. The apartment is on a small palazzo with 2 restaurants, and there are many more via a short walk. The apartment is very close to the Colosseum. It is is walking distance to Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, and many other famous sites. It is close to one above ground tram that travels east-west. It is a short taxi ride to Termini Station. The apartment is up 2 long flights of stairs, which didn't bother us, but it would not be great for those with mobility issues. We found the apartment to be a nice hub while visiting Roma. We look forward to returning in the future. -Mike”
