September 2025This is why we joined ThirdHome!
Great house in a great place! The house overlooks the harbor bay and is just a short drive from the villages of Boothbay Harbor and East Boothbay. The house is well set up with a big open plan room with large kitchen, living and dining room with a wrap around deck. The house is perched on a hill down to a dock. Ten foot tides were crazy big and fun to watch. The ocean was just up the bay. We hired a fishing guide one day who picked us up off the dock and gave us a great tour of the surrounding waters. We caught a number of fish, of course my wife was high hook and biggest fish. We did a couple of day trips to Camden, Permaquid Light House and the Botanical Gardens. The rest of the time we hung around Boothbay Harbor and ate a lot of lobster, haddock and cod! We did grill-in a couple of nights. Good thing I only discovered the whiskey bar behind the Sub shop on our last night! If you're looking for a great spot to explore coastal Maine- this house is on point- Spruce Point. A special thanks to our hosts who provided an outstanding overview of local haunts and attractions. ”

June 2025Fabulous Waterfront Cottage in Maine
We loved our stay at this gorgeous home in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, during the start of June. The home was beautiful, with a wide deck overlooking the harbor, and was located in a very quiet and private neighborhood with little to no traffic near the house. The hosts had made every effort for our comfort, from placing soaps and shampoos in each bath for our use, to ordering firewood to be delivered so we could use the amazing stone fireplace on a cool night! If you are looking for a peaceful, serene home where you can relax and look out at the water, with but a short drive to enjoy boat tours, great food (lots of lobster), and various historic tours, this would be a great choice.”
