An island sanctuary set amid the enchanted Caribbean Archipelago of Bocas del Toro. Discover and access top rated accommodations, incredible beaches, unique tours, and soak in the serene natural island landscape. Unlike other tourist destinations...only Nature could have designed this.

Upon arriving at the Marina Village on Isla Bastimentos, guests will then pass through a unique Nature Preserve before arriving at the Red Frog Beach Island Resort. You will experience a unique island eco-system; traveling over the unpaved (and bumpy) dirt roads, the sounds of nature abound-exotic birds hide in the tree tops and the occasional sloth reminds guests that this is a place to "take your time" and absorb the surroundings.

Uncover stunning beaches and bright blue morpho butterflies. Witness the monkeys swing from treetop to treetop and the abundant flora and fauna that has been blooming here for centuries. Find yourself at a hidden waterfall, a lagoon with turquoise water or a rainforest trail leading to a pristine natural world.

It's about opening our minds to inspiring surroundings, and discovering a life-changing vacation.

We meticulously planned and structured the Red Frog Villas to be a modern launching point for visitors to an ancient Caribbean haven.

At Red Frog Beach Resort, you'll find sophisticated accommodations with Caribbean hospitality amidst centuries-old charm in a setting that nature itself designed.

Relaxing, maybe too relaxing!

Villa was in a beautiful setting with a nice private pool and big patio area that was covered. Could not understand why every villa did not have an ocean view as it could’ve easily been planned that way but at least the landscaping and gardens and flowers were all gorgeous. Home itself needed quite a few things to be fixed and the construction was rather poor. Covid has definitely hurt business on the island so only two restaurants open for dinner one at the resort and one next-door, both with very limited menus. Staying for a short time would probably be OK but we were there for two weeks and selections made eating less desirable. Market did provide some basics for breakfast, snacks and drinks, but not really dinner options unless Red Baron frozen pizza is your thing. Beach and ocean front were magnificently beautiful and easy to walk with a long trail at least a couple miles long. You felt totally safe and secure even with only limited security as the island is quite remote. If you wanted to take a water taxi back to Bocas Town or any of the other nearby islands it was easy and only about 10 to 15 minutes depending on weather conditions. Cost was between $7 to $10 per person each way depending on day time or after dark. Overall costs of food and eating were relatively inexpensive especially beer and wine prices. We do need to mention that we suffered from quite a few bites that came from some sort of sand flea or chigger as we never saw them but they itch like crazy and lasted for almost a week afterwards. Worst we’ve ever experienced and not sure that any repellent would’ve really worked. Wish we had known in advance and maybe we could’ve done something to protect ourselves. Most of the bites were below our knees but also did have a few in other places which just added a little negativity to the experience. The area and the islands were spectacular and stunningly beautiful but would we go back? Probably not as the world is huge and it just maybe wasn’t our kind of place. The employees and service was adequate and people were very, very nice, I just would not call it exceptional. ”
