September 2026Quiet Getaway
This was our first use of Third Home. It was only a 3-hour drive from home. It was very clean and had all of the amenities you would want. The owners thought of everything from bug spray to most any kitchen need you may want. The tiling and furnishings were very nice. It was well water, but they had a separate bottled water for personal drinking and cooking if desired. The place had a Generac whole-house backup system if needed. There was a hot tub and Blackstone grill off the deck, nice pavilion for mingling with a Green Egg there and a separate firepit with the wood and kindling read to start roasting hot dogs, marshmallows or Smores. They supplied a Smores kit. It was 7 miles from Hocking Hills State Park that has fantastic hiking options. We really missed our time away after we got home. Highly recommend.”

June 2025Hocking Hills/ Athens
We had a terrific time in Hocking Hills! The exterior of the ranch house is fairly modest, but the entire inside has been updated and very tastefully decorated. Very nice kitchen and Dining room great Blackstone Grill, Nice 4-6 person Hot Tub and terrific large Gazebo that allows you to survey the entire property....Beautiful setting for Happy Hours next to the pond .....tons of land to enjoy....my Golden Doodle LOVED chasing balls all day! About 8 miles from the many Trails of Hocking Hills, so a quick 12-15 minute drive....I had no idea how BEAUTIFUL the trails of Hocking Hills are (and I have been in Cincinnati all my life)!!! Varying degrees of length and difficulty, but truly an Ohio hidden gem!!! ...super Dog friendly, also. Rain threatened on Saturday, so we drove into Athens (Ohio University), about 20 miles (30 minute drive) and got some groceries and did a little Bar Hopping (also Dog friendly!) Thanks for a great week! Tom and Karen and Schnookums! June 2025”
