June 2025It's Better in Beara
Until exchanging for Sea Haven, I knew very little about the Beara Peninsula of Ireland which is south of the more famous "Ring of Dingle" and "Ring of Kerry". However, when I saw the house and started to research the area I knew we needed to visit. The Beara peninsula is more rugged than their more famous cousins and the roads are smaller which means that the large tourist coaches are not permitted. This makes it the perfect place to explore the Wild Atlantic Way of Ireland. Sea Haven is the perfect vacation house and is clearly a home that is loved by the owners! It is beautifully appointed and provisioned and the view out to Kenmare Bay and the stunning sunsets is spectacular. The house is ideally situated and we did many day trips around Beara as well as taking in the Ring of Kerry as a day trip. Our host was as kind, responsive and welcoming as we could ever imagine. ”
