BEST FAMILY RETREAT!!! A+++++

Casa Comoda was the perfect place for our family vacation and exactly what we needed to reconnect, relax, and spend quality time together. If your goal is to bring family together under one roof while still having plenty of space, this home is ideal. What we loved most was how easy the layout made it for everyone to gather, laugh, and truly enjoy each other’s company. We had so many late-night conversations, laughs by the pool, shared meals, and special moments that honestly made this trip unforgettable. The house naturally brings people together while still allowing everyone their own privacy and space when needed. The home itself was beautifully furnished, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The tall ceilings and natural light made everything feel open and welcoming. Having 5 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, made a huge difference for our family. We had a large group and filled every bed with at least 2 people. It still gave everyone privacy and comfort, and we especially loved that 4 of the rooms had instant access to the pool and patio area. The pool was a favorite and thoroughly enjoyed every single day. It was always the perfect temperature and became the heart of our family hangout time. We cooked often, both inside on the stove and outside on the grill, which made family meals easy and memorable. The private entrance and secluded feel gave the property a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. One of my daughters even slept outside in the hammock one night and absolutely loved it. There are two driveways that comfortably fit larger vehicles, which was incredibly convenient for a group trip. We also enjoyed the small private rock garden and walking path, such a peaceful little touch. crazy you could actually meditate there - it was surprisingly quiet back there. A fun bonus during our stay was sweet neighborhood dog, Canela, who came by to visit us. She was so friendly and lovable, and honestly deserves to become Instagram famous! She is a smiling dog, and loves belly rubs. The location was also excellent, close enough for easy access to activities, beaches, cenotes, and excursions without feeling overly crowded or touristy. We visited Playa Akumal, Playa Delfines (our favorite clean beach), Tulum, cenotes, and even took a catamaran to Isla Mujeres. Casa Comoda made a perfect home base for everything we wanted to experience. A special thank you to Ken, our point of contact, who was amazing throughout our stay. He was responsive, helpful, and made everything seamless from beginning to end. Overall, Casa Comoda gave our family more than just a place to stay, it gave us a place to truly spend meaningful time together. The memories, laughs, and connection we shared here are something we’ll always cherish. We would absolutely rent this home again!”

A wonderful stay

We had a really super stay at Ken and Tammy's home in Riviera Maya. The house is tucked away in a residential road inbetween Akumal and Playa del Carmen.. The house is perfect for a hot climate with high ceilings and efficient aircon. The pool area was super with a variety of seating choices for shade and sun depending on the time of day. A home office and well connected wifi were really helpful as well. From the house we explored the area and were always happy to return to the haven that was this home. Our hosts were in easy contact and we benefitted from some excellent recommendations for the area. We hope to return one day.”
