December 2025Centrally Located Mountain Retreat
We had such an amazing time in Telluride this December. Despite a few things totally unrelated to the house (lost baggage, not much snow, pending Ski Patrol Strike) we're so glad we went on the trip. It wasn't exactly ski-in ski out for us because only lifts 1-4 were open, but the house is just a couple blocks from the Gondola, so we were able to carry our skis and walk in our boots to the station and ride it up to the Mountain Village. Even if we couldn't have gone skiing at all, we would have enjoyed the stay. We felt so lucky to be surrounded by beautiful mountains and to explore the town. It comes with a parking spot which was great because part of our group drove in to town, but because the town area is so compact with great restaurants and shops within walking distance, I didn't even end up getting in the car at all. The kitchen is a little limited in terms of tools but the necessities are all there. We did some cooking at the house but the highlight meal was at Kazahana for happy hour with 1/2 price sushi which is really good, especially considering the remote location. It was so nice there were laundry machines in the house because our luggage was delayed a day and otherwise we would have been in trouble! The beds were cozy and bathrooms were well equipped with towels and essentials. The TVs had streaming services which we took advantage of. Telluride is such a special place that we feel so lucky to have experienced this year! ”
