December 2025Serenity lives up to its name :)
We had a great week in this spacious and well equipped villa. The water really is right there, perfect for swimming and kayaking (both of which we did plenty of). It's an interesting part of the country and we visited a few interesting places on Yorke Peninsula, especially those connected with its history as one fo the biggest copper mining places in the world. You do feel a bit like you've gone back in time round here, to a simpler calmer way of life. Very relaxing for a holiday. In the villa we enjoyed the media room and made use of the pizza oven in the garden - they came out better than we expected! The kids liked the wide corridor and plenty of space to explore. (And the playground at the beach cafe of course) The kitchen had everything we needed for lots of home cooking. I know a lot of people - including all the Sydneysiders I spoke to about the trip - know nothing about this area of South Australia. It's worth a visit. And maybe tack on - as we did - a couple of days in Adelaide to enjoy great (free) museums and art galleries. ”
