Designed by Arnold Palmer, the 18-hole, par-72 championship course is ranked among the "Best 100 Courses Outside the United States" by Golf Digest. It spans over 220 pristine acres and sits on the tip of Peninsula Papagayo, nestled in the mountainside along the Pacific Ocean. The course plays 6,788 yards from the championship tees for the low-handicap golfer, and offers four additional sets of tees that allow golfers of all levels to indulge in their passion for the game.
The Spa at Four Seasons offers a comprehensive selection of facials, body treatments and massages using indigenous ingredients, such as mineral-rich rainforest muds from the nearby Osa Peninsula.
The resort offers various tours and excursions, including zip-line tours, white water rafting, rain forest exploration, and surfing at Tamarindo. Your vacation can be as laid back or active as you like.
Because the resort was built with ecologic sensitivities in mind, great care was taken to preserve the natural habitats of many indigenous plants and animals. It's quite common to see (and hear) howler monkeys outside your window, and cross paths with giant iguanas on the golf course.

What a gorgeous property! The resort is impeccable down to the smallest details and the Villa itself is a true paradise that is nestled away in a private location on the peninsula. Everyone in the resort was very helpful and friendly. Outstanding beaches, views, weather, and wildlife. Truly a trip to remember for a lifetime.”
Amazing accommodations ! Private for 3 couples. The property is wonderful. Ella Coon in concierge department was extemely helpful and made our trip outstanding. Jet skis, paddle boarding, white water rafting, zip lining and a private chef for the villa one night. Thank you”
Lovely property and facilities!
We had the best time at the Four Seasons Peninsula Papagayo. The villa was amazing and featured three master suites (they are separated by a breeze way or stairs so this might not be the best bet for families with small kids). We used the plunge pool daily and loved watched the wildlife outside the villa. We got to look over the Pacific and watch thunderstorms. The resort is really beautiful and such a nice property location between the bay and the Pacific. Only negatives are that the resort is a bit secluded, and it's expensive, even compared to other Four Season resort properties. ”

The resort is beautiful and the house is *over the top*! The staff couldn't do enough to make us happy. The owners went out of their way to make great suggestions which helped us prepare for our trip. It was a five star experience from beginning to end!”
Gorgeous, amazing property
The location of this home is stunning: 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, which are distributed among 3 buildings, great privacy, feels like a mini compound. A beautiful private, plunge infinity pool, great decks and outdoor living spaces, truly gorgeous! Some things helpful to know ahead of time: location is at the end of Peninsula Papagayo and thus, a rental car is really helpful. If you don't have a car, you are stuck eating at just the FS restaurants, which are great food but very expensive (as you would expect). And during the low season, many of the restaurants are closed so fewer choices. Don't miss that you have to pay for housekeeping, both in/out, not cheap. When we return (we definitely will), we'll pack wine (few choices) and some dry snacks, such as cereals, nuts, granola bars, etc. Spa is stunning, no tipping allowed on the property (love that), a superb value for Ritz Destination Club owners. ”
