April 2026Barbados is a gem
It was our first visit to Barbados and we were blown away by the number of high quality restaurants located right on the beach and we were on the west side of the island, so we had an amazing sunset each night. Some of our favorite restaurants were Lone Star, She Shed, Baia, Larry Rogers and we grilled out at the house while the sun set twice.. The house is a 10 minute drive to the beaches, so you cannot walk to the beach. There are several beaches that rent beach chairs for $10-$15 per day. She shed and Lone Star were our favorites and an hour plus lunch with wine is a must do. We went to Carlisle beach and it was a bit of a tourist trap. The furniture and rooms are very nice and there are air conditioning units that are in each bedroom. In the living space, we had to keep the windows and door open with the fans going to stay comfortable. We figured out it is best to go to the pool at 5pm and hang out there in the shade while the monkey's rolled in. Lastly, we played a round of golf at the Royal Westmoreland, because I thought it was in the complex, which is actually down the street. The course is nice, but pricey. In retrospect, I would have played the Sandy Lane's course or Apes Hill (they had a senior tour event there during our stay). I do look forward to returning to Barbados soon.”

April 2026Amazing!
Royal Villa 8 is truly stunning and none of us wanted to leave. The interior design style is beautiful and we loved all the thoughtful touches, kept impeccably clean. The outside space was perfect for enjoying the beautiful sunsets after an afternoon by the pool, the pool is just a few minutes stroll, loads of space to sun bath and swim. The indoor areas were so spacious, lovely to chill for the evening with a spacious balcony with outside dinning and BBQ area, Ann (Owner) was lovely to deal with and just on the end of the phone if needed and this was very much appreciated. We really had the most wonderful time and we would love to come back again!”
