Description

A Historic Farmhouse Apartment for Slow Days in Umbria

Highlights:
• Ground-floor apartment in a 200-year-old farmhouse

• Shared pool overlooking the Umbrian countryside

• Historic hill towns and wineries within reach

Set in the countryside near Castiglione del Lago, this two-bedroom apartment occupies the ground floor of a 200-year-old farmhouse. The home offers a character-rich base for experiencing Umbria’s rural landscapes and the nearby Tuscan border.

Traditional stonework, exposed wooden beams and gentle natural tones reflect the farmhouse’s heritage. The comfortable interiors feel warm and relaxed, creating an inviting setting for quiet mornings and leisurely evenings.

Both bedrooms feature queen beds and views of the surrounding countryside. Two full bathrooms provide added convenience for couples, friends or a small family sharing the apartment.

Guests have access to a shared swimming pool and common outdoor areas overlooking the estate’s natural landscape and rolling hills. The peaceful setting lends itself to countryside walks, outdoor meals and unhurried afternoons beside the pool.

Castiglione del Lago provides a convenient starting point for exploring Montepulciano, Chiusi and Città della Pieve. Local markets, wineries and traditional trattorias offer a closer connection to the food, culture and slower rhythm of central Italy.

Important Information:
The apartment occupies the ground floor of a larger farmhouse. The swimming pool and common outdoor areas are shared with other occupants.

Super Central Location in the Country side

The location of this home is perfect if you want to get a rental car and do daily traveling to all the hilltop towns, including the large cities of Florence and Rome. The home also has beautiful views and beautiful sunsets with outdoor seating to enjoy them. The house hosts were very easy to get a hold of and very friendly, though there were not a lot of amenities, so you may need to do a trip to the store to get hair, products, etc. ”
