Description

Château Blanc | Elegant 19th-Century Château with Grand Grounds

Set within an expansive, tree-lined estate, this elegant white château offers a refined and serene escape where heritage and nature come together in perfect harmony. Surrounded by four hectares of manicured gardens and centuries-old trees, the residence presents an atmosphere of exclusivity and calm, with soft views of the verdant grounds and shimmering swimming pool enhancing its sense of tranquillity.

Inside, the château reveals the character and craftsmanship of early 19th-century French homes. Oak and chestnut parquet arranged in herringbone and Versailles patterns, historic tomette tiles, and ornate mouldings all speak to its distinguished past. Modern comforts blend seamlessly with these original elements, creating a sophisticated yet welcoming ambience throughout its generous living spaces and nine beautifully appointed bedrooms.

The property offers a wealth of leisure amenities designed for relaxed, high-end living. Days can be spent by the large outdoor pool, on the private tennis court, or enjoying friendly table-tennis matches. The surrounding park invites long, unhurried walks beneath towering trees, while a dedicated organic vegetable garden adds a charming touch of pastoral life. The château also carries a rich cultural legacy: Guy de Maupassant spent part of his childhood here, drawing inspiration from its peaceful surroundings for several of his works—an influence still felt in the home’s timeless atmosphere.

With the coastline just a short drive away, guests can easily alternate between countryside serenity and fresh seaside horizons, enriching their stay with a variety of outdoor experiences.

Unforgettable stay

Our stay at Château Blanc was extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the beauty and character of the estate. The gardens, shaded by centuries-old trees, create an atmosphere of peace and timeless elegance. The The château itself is beautiful—every room and every detail reflects its rich history, making you feel as though you are living inside a piece of French heritage. One of our favorite places was the swimming pool. Beautifully integrated into the landscape, it was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Normandy. Surrounded by nature and complete tranquility, it quickly became a gathering place for our group and added another special dimension to our stay. Sandrine and Thomas were wonderful hosts. Their thoughtful recommendations allowed us to discover the very best of Normandy, from the D-Day beaches and historic landmarks to charming villages, beautiful countryside, and the spectacular coastline. Their local knowledge enriched our trip. What made Château Blanc truly unique was not only its beauty, but its soul. This is far more than a luxury property—it is a place lovingly preserved by a family who genuinely cares about sharing its history and character with their guests. Staying here felt like living the authentic Norman experience rather than simply visiting the region. Our group of friends will treasure the memories we created here for the rest of our lives. We left with grateful hearts and the hope of returning one day. If you are looking for an exceptional place to experience the true essence of Normandy, Château Blanc is simply unforgettable. We recommend it without hesitation. ”
