Magical Tahoe Retreat under 20 minutes from everything.

We had an amazing time at this thirdhome property. I took my parents, my wife, and my kids for a week-long stay near North Lake Tahoe in the summer of 2026. Quite honestly, it had been maybe a decade since I had visited Lake Tahoe in the summer. We usually visited Squaw Valley and similar resorts during the winter, but thanks to thirdhome, we decided to try North Lake Tahoe in the summer, and we cannot wait to come back. The house is a newly built, spacious three-bedroom home with a massive living area. The entire community is really well thought out. It feels like you are staying in the woods in a log cabin, but with gated security and welcoming neighbors. The homes are a beautiful mix of log cabins and modern luxury homes. Really well done! Our hosts, Chris and Miko, were amazing. Since it was a new home, there were a few questions along the way, but both of them were on top of everything and had their entire team constantly helping us out and making us feel welcome. The place is literally 15 to 20 minutes from Kings Beach, and roughly the same distance from other notable places in the North Lake Tahoe area. Thanks to this stay, we rediscovered Lake Tahoe and also had our first family boating experience with North Lake Tahoe Boat Rental. I had no idea how beautiful the beaches were in Lake Tahoe. Sand Harbor Beach just blew our minds. Thanks to thirdhome, we came back fully immersed in Lake Tahoe, and this home played its role in creating forever memories for my family. We highly recommend this home to anyone considering Lake Tahoe. Oh, and I almost forgot: they have a play area and a restaurant within the community. The restaurant had amazing food and desserts, made some amazing cocktails, and had really good wine. In short, the perfect Tahoe retreat. Highly recommended! ”
