October 2026A truly peaceful escape in magnificent surroundings
The Domaine du Charlat is a wonderful getaway - comfortable, beautifully designed, hidden away, and truly relaxing. La Grange (The Barn) was a wonderful location for a three-generation family vacation, with kids, parents and grandparents enjoying the communal space and outdoors, while allowing each to retreat to the privacy of very comfortable, all en-suite sleeping quarters. Our best ThirdHome experiences are those that share kid facilities - be it bunk beds, a few toys, books, or simple things such as child-friendly kitchenware - without detracting from a tasteful getaway. Domaine du Charlat was wonderful in this regard. Our kids had a magical stay in the bunk room. This stay was a great opportunity to connect with nature (footpaths and trails depart on your doorstep), with food (try the market in nearby Issigeac), and with history (many medieval towns, some with great museums and exhibits). Our thanks to Caroline and her family for a truly relaxing stay.”
