Dimora il Cerro | Tuscan Farmhouse with Panoramic Views

Nestled upon the sun-drenched Cerreto hill, Dimora il Cerro presents a refined portion of a restored farmhouse, harmoniously integrated into the iconic Tuscan landscape. This elegant residence offers a serene escape, surrounded by verdant olive groves and commanding magnificent, sweeping views of the rolling hills and the historic city of Prato below. The property serves as an exceptional base for discovering the riches of Tuscany, appealing equally to those seeking cultural immersion and active exploration, with Florence and other renowned cities within easy reach.

The home itself is a jewel of tasteful renovation, where traditional character meets modern comfort. The heart of the home is a beautifully appointed kitchen featuring statuary marble countertops and rich cherry wood cabinetry, complemented by wood flooring and classic terracotta tiles. It is fully equipped for culinary endeavours, leading to a gracious marble dining table. From here, access a charming intermediate floor with a practical laundry area. A wooden staircase ascends to the tranquil upper floor, hosting two well-proportioned double bedrooms, each offering wardrobe space, a dresser, and a Dyson air purification system. One bedroom features an automated skylight, inviting guests to drift off under a canopy of stars. A spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower and dual basins completes this level, also illuminated by natural light from above.

Outdoor living is thoughtfully curated to maximise the stunning setting. A new pergola creates an ideal alfresco dining and relaxation space in the private forecourt, furnished with a table, sofa, and deck chairs—a perfect spot to enjoy a fine local wine as the sun sets over the hills. Practical modern conveniences include a covered parking space and a dedicated electric vehicle charging station, ensuring a seamless and comfortable stay.

August 2026

Tuscany farm house

We stayed at this Tuscany farmhouse from August 8–15, 2026. The bedrooms are very spacious with a lot of closets. The apartment has been renovated and the bathroom is brand new. There are very nice skylights and high ceilings which makes the house very roomy. What we didn’t realize is that this house has 1.5 baths are not 2 baths as mentioned. So we all had to share the one bathroom upstairs and showering took longer every morning. There is the powder room downstairs by the kitchen, but only one shower in the unit. We also didn’t realize there is no living room or dining room so it was a little bit awkward as where to gather. The dining room is basically the kitchen island with regular size chairs, which were too low for the counter. The kitchen is nice, but there were no serving trays or bowls which made it difficult to serve dinner every night. The homeowner is very nice and she gave us some good recommendations. The train station is about a 20 minute drive and from there you can easily get to Florence. Most other destination are all about an hour away. You would need a car if you’re staying here and there are pretty nice country roads to drive around. ”
