October 2026Dreamy spot…but beware of mosquitoes
We booked the villa primarily for the external space. We enjoyed the seclusive location, in a natural park. The view is spectacular, and the outside deck/pool very well done. The villa itself is practical, and can host 3 couples comfortably (not 4, as the 4th bedroom is really for kids). Staff for checking in was friendly and helpful. I can not give it a 5 stars though, as our stay was negatively impacted by the proliferation of mosquitoes. It’s hard for us to know if this is an unusual event at this time of the year. Or not. But despite efforts by the owner to get rid of mosquitoes, including through an automatic spraying system, we were not able to stay outside for more than a few minutes before having to retreat into the villa. In the end, we were not able to use the pool or eat outside. I would recommend staying there is you can be assured ahead of time that the mosquitoes situation is under control. Note as well that the Villa is not “above Cefalu” but about 25 minutes by car to the East. Cefalu itself is a beautiful place. There is also a very nice beach close to the villa. Palermo is about 1 hour to the West (the airport closer to 90 mn).”
