July 2026Left early due to conditions at the house
The host could not have been more helpful and accommodating when we made her aware of the problems; however, the problems were so severe that we stayed only three of the seven nights we had. The complex has a huge swallow nesting problem. They are protected, and there are 100s of nests attached around the complex, and the toxic poop is EVERYWHERE. Our host sent cleaners, but they didn't get everything. The exterior furniture is ripped and unusable, dirty, or covered in poop. The windows don't open, and it was 90 degrees. There is no AC, the screens are ripped, and the carpet is tired, as it is a full-time rental. The house is nicely equipped in the kitchen, but the furniture is tired, and so is everything else. It is an Airbnb, not a family home that is kept up. Out of fairness, the host missed her window for summer maintenance as we changed our dates, which she graciously accommodated, but for us, who are used to a high standard, it was an unexpected trade. It is in a great location, and the host was fantastic, but caveat emptor. ”
