Description

Methow Valley Ranch

This beautiful 5 bedroom, 5 bath, 6,500 sq. ft. ranch house is nestled on the valley floor in a calm meadow surrounded by Aspen trees, Ponderosa pines and Cascade mountain views all around.

Steps from your front door you'll find the Methow River and one of the area's many cross country skiing (winter) and hiking/biking (summer) trails. The Methow Valley Ranch is absolutely picturesque and private.

Within the large main home is a great room, a family/TV room with a 70" television and satellite, and a formal living room. The chef's kitchen is well equipped with modern tools chefs will appreciate, and off the kitchen is a breakfast nook and separate dining room.

There are four bedrooms on the second floor, including the master suite, which has a two sided fireplace between the sitting area and the bathroom. Another bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and views of the meadow and mountains. The other two bedrooms share a large bathroom with double sinks.

There is a separate one bedroom apartment over the three car garage that has a new kitchen, bathroom, and separate washer and dryer. The apartment has hardwood floors and a design that mimics that of the main house. It also has French doors which open to a balcony facing the mountains and meadow. This apartment may be used by you and your guests during your stay, or if you prefer, an on-site property manager to facility a smooth stay. Please let us know your preference.

The outdoor space of the house includes a large covered front porch in the front where you can look out at the surrounding mountains, meadow, and wildlife. In the back of the house you'll find the outdoor pool (summer only) and the outdoor dining and sitting areas.
There is a separate pool house with an outdoor shower, powder room, and sauna.

The home is located within a fifteen minute drive of the "Old West Town" of Winthrop, Washington, and within a five minute drive of outdoor pleasure seekers' paradise Mazama. The area has gourmet food options from fine dining at the area lodges and bistros to breweries, coffee roasters, and bakeries with fresh made treats. A local winery's tasting room is a 15 minute drive away.

The Methow Valley is a 365 day-a-year outdoor paradise. In the summer, you can hike, mountain bike, road cycling, float down the Methow or Chewuch river, horseback ride, swim, rock climb, and golf. In the winter, the area comes alive with plenty of dry snow and sunshine. You can nordic/cross-country ski on the largest trail system in the United States. One of the best all-levels groomed ski trail is accessible right out your front door. You can also snow shoe, fat tire bike, snow mobile, and ice skate in Winthrop. For downhill skiers and snowboarders, the Loup Loup Ski Bowl is approximately 45 minutes from the home.

To reach the Methow Valley, you may drive over Highway 20 (open typically mid-April to November) from Seattle Tacoma International Airport (3.5 hours) and Bellingham International Airport (3 hours). The scenic drive includes jaw dropping views of the North Cascades and lakes.

When Highway 20 is closed during winter months, Seattle is approximately a 5 hour drive. Spokane International Airport is a 3.5 hour drive year round.

Spectacular!

This home and the surrounding area was nothing short of perfect for our extended family! Days spent hiking, tubing, boating, swimming in the pool, and evenings sipping local wine, enjoying one of the many local restaurants, or cooking in the chef's kitchen, enjoying the wildlife and brilliant stars. This home is a bit of a drive from a commercial airport but worth the time and beautiful scenery. We sincerely hope to be back someday!”
