San Miguel de Allende stay

Casa Villa is a beautiful villa and was perfect for our group of 7 golfers being right on the Ventanas golf course designed by Faldo. It is also very reasonable with half price on Monday/Tuesday. Martha the housekeeper was wonderful she comes in twice a week to clean but we hired her to do the grocery shopping and to cook dinner for us one night. She was there to greet us on arrival to show us around. Leigh the owner was always available to help and answer questions by email about the home or San Miguel. Her Notes on the villa were very detailed. She referred us to Julio to arrange our transportation to/from the airport with excellent vehicles (although the van was crowded on arrival with 7 plus luggage and golf clubs). We departed different days so the SUV was perfect for the return. We flew to México City to avoid connecting with our golf bags. About a 3-4 hour drive. We figured the connection with a 90 minute drive wouldn’t save much time. You do NOT need to rent a car as parking is difficult in San Miguel and the taxis are cheap only $6.00 (US) including tax anywhere in the city. The altitude of 6200’ was not really an issue but you should be aware. I gave a 4 star rating for the following reasons: The golf course gave us a hassle to take us and our clubs to/from the course. We persisted and they grudgingly did it. They need an Oncall shuttle which we spoke to them about. The pool has a cover which blends into the concrete and we did have one person step into it. It needs to be better defined! We had problems with the toaster oven and toaster both need to be upgraded. The dishwasher was an issue. We didn’t eat at the clubhouse because it didn’t have a shuttle and we figured if we had to call a taxi we might as well go into town which has outstanding restaurants! Some if our group did get the “tourist as” not sure why since we all ate together. Recommend you bring meds with you. Overall everyone loved the villa and the beautiful town of San Miguel de Allende with great restaurants, interesting art, colorful buildings and friendly people in a very safe environment. Awesome Home

First, I love San Miguel de Allende. In 2017 I spent a month learning Spanish there. Casa Golf Villa is an awesome home with everything you would ever want. Of the Third Home homes we have visited, I rate it at the top. It is beautiful, spacious and with great staff ( Martha and her husband, Jose). The beds and furniture are just like being at home. Leigh, the owner is very helpful and nice. This is my second Third Home stay at Ventanas. I enjoy the golf course and the caddies make the golf very enjoyable. If you visit, play a round at Malanquin golf course also. ”

Exceptional

The historical and cultural significance of San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato in Central Mexico are absolutely worth investigating and celebrating. Case Villa Golf was the perfect place to come home to each evening. Beautiful property, very well appointed, with high ceilings, and large rooms. Most evenings our group preferred to cook our meals and enjoy each others company in the comfort of this retreat. The golf course is lovely and perfectly challenging. The fees come with a cart. It is mandatory to hire one caddy per two players. They are well worth the nominal fee. Leigh, the owner was very accommodating and helpful on many levels. Highly recommended. ”
