Approximately a five-minute walk from the nearest Four Mile Beach access, Kenge Village offers a distinctive expression of tropical living in Port Douglas. The architect-designed home draws inspiration from traditional Congolese villages, with Balinese influences expressed through carved teak, rich timbers and lush gardens. Individual pavilions gather around a heated pool, reimagining a communal village watering hole as the heart of the property.

The living pavilion opens directly to the pool deck and open-air dining lanai, creating a natural flow between interiors and gardens. Polished timber floors, vaulted ceilings, louvred windows and generous openings encourage airflow throughout the tropical setting. A leather chaise and 72-inch smart television create an inviting place to unwind, while the kitchen features a blackbean timber island, two ovens, gas cooktop, walk-in pantry and coffee machine.

Three dedicated bedroom suites feature Balinese teak king beds, hotel-style linens and a choice of soft or medium pillows. The main suite includes a private bathroom with a spa bath, while the second and third suites share a two-way bathroom. An elevated games and relaxation pavilion provides additional sleeping space with a custom queen sofa bed, alongside a 55-inch smart television and PlayStation 5. Air conditioning and ceiling fans extend throughout the home.

The heated pool connects the bedroom, living and dining pavilions through shaded timber walkways and tropical gardens. The open-air lanai seats eight for poolside meals, while a separate pavilion provides a peaceful setting for yoga, reading or evening conversation. A hanging fire pit may be enjoyed during winter when permitted. Private chef experiences and curated arrival hampers can also be arranged separately.

The patrolled swimming area is located at the town end of Four Mile Beach. Macrossan Street’s restaurants, cafés and boutiques are a short drive away, while a local supermarket is approximately three to five minutes away by car. Cairns Airport is around one hour away via the Captain Cook Highway. Car hire is available and recommended for exploring the wider region, while airport transfers, shuttles and private car services operate daily between Cairns and Port Douglas.
