Description

Private Saugatuck Lodge on Four Wooded Acres

Highlights
• Purpose-built lodge set across four private wooded acres near the Lake Michigan shoreline

• Expansive open-concept layout with multiple living areas, gourmet kitchen, and accommodations designed for multigenerational groups

• Large screened porch with fireplace and dining area, plus high-speed Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace for remote work

Completed in 2021, this purpose-built lodge offers a peaceful retreat among four acres of Michigan woodland, balancing a secluded natural setting with convenient access to Saugatuck and Douglas. A private road leads beneath a canopy of trees to the lodge, while the Lake Michigan shoreline is within walking distance for days spent exploring the coast.

Inside, natural materials and rustic details complement a spacious open-concept design created with larger groups in mind. Multiple living areas allow guests to gather or spread out, while a fully equipped gourmet kitchen and generous dining table provide a central setting for shared meals. Bedrooms are thoughtfully positioned away from the main gathering spaces for added privacy and quiet.

The layout is particularly accommodating for multigenerational stays. A spacious first-floor bedroom with an ensuite bathroom provides added convenience, while families with younger children have access to built-in baby gates, a high chair, crib, and sound machine. Televisions are provided in every bedroom.

Large sliding doors connect the main living area to an expansive screened porch, creating an inviting transition into the surrounding woods. Here, an instant-on fireplace, dining area, and comfortable seating provide space to linger outdoors while remaining sheltered. Elsewhere on the grounds, guests can explore the wooded acreage or gather around another fireplace on the outdoor patio.

Designed for year-round stays, the lodge offers easy access to summer days along Lake Michigan as well as winter skiing and fireside evenings. A dedicated desk, 1 Gbps internet, and Wi-Fi throughout also make longer stays and remote work comfortable, while the galleries, boutiques, restaurants, and wineries of Saugatuck and Douglas are close at hand.
