Description

Borrego Springs is in San Diego County, California. Borrego Springs is completely surrounded by Anza-Borrego State Park, the largest of California's State Parks. Eco and adventure tourism, the artist community and the plein air painting invitational all are major draws to Borrego Springs. Coupled with the annual winter film festival, Borrego is all about creativity and experiencing the natural beauty of the desert and the dark night sky with infinite pocketfuls of stars to gaze upon. There are 4 public golf courses, a tennis center, horseback riding and much more. The village is a popular destination for "Snow Birds" that migrate annually from the colder climates in winter to enjoy the sunshine of this desert community. After the winter rains, March is known to bring a stunning wildflower show of nature throughout the area. The town swells with painters, nature lovers and photographers who descend upon the valley to view the magnificent show of purples, yellows and orange blooms that mark the transition from late winter to early spring.

Stunning desert living in a guard gated golf community with award winning Tom Fazio Golf Course and Clubhouse. At Rams Hill Golf Club, Tom Fazio created an exceptional course, truly a masterpiece with gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains and desert vistas.

Borrego is a premier dark sky community in the world. There are no stop lights in Borrego Springs and night time lighting is kept to a minimum to protect the views of the night sky. Astronomers from all over the world come here for the night sky viewing opportunities. Peace and quiet and beautiful BIG sky viewing of the constellations is right at our doorstep.

This designer 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home has views of the Anza Borrego desert and Santa Rosa Mountains.

Hiking, astronomy lectures and viewing, club pot lucks, art exhibits in town, and up country town of Julian is within 40 minutes.

Marriott Vacation C.

November 2017

Incredible Stay!

November 19-26, 2017, my wife and I rented this 2700 square foot, 3 bedroom 3 ensuite bath home for stargazing and hiking in Anza Borrego State Park with another couple. It was beyond expectations. Nicely furnished in all rooms with a fully equipped chef’s kitchen open to the living room and outside patio. There are no adjacent homes all around. Location has great views of the valley and mountains where the sunset shadows slowly move across toward dusk. At night the Milky Way, Moon and major constellations light up the sky. Pool, walking trails and golf course with restaurant are available in the development. Very good restaurants and the Anza Borrego State Park Visitors Center are within 20 minutes. We felt comfortable and at home in this nice private retreat. We will be back!”

Exceeded Expectations!

If you are looking to get away, this is the place for you. Tucked in at the back of the Ram Hill resort, you are blessed with amazing views of the mountains, & colorful landscape. Each morning we had our coffee outside on the patio, and in the evening on another patio there is a fireplace to sit cozy up to. Beautifully decorated home, with a true Chef Kitchen. Viking appliances were a dream, as we cooked a lot. Gas grill was plumbed in , so you don't have to worry about running out. Huge Master suite, with balcony, & Spa like bathroom Make sure you take the short walk along the golf course cart path to the Rams Hill Country Club, we had 2 dinners sitting out on the breathtaking patio. After dinner we sat around the many fire-pits on the same patio, then a leisurely walk home. We met many people who have been coming from the north to stay for months during the winter months. They told us about the great hiking trails in the neighboring National Forest. Borrego Springs is a small town, but has some cute shops, We had lunch & breakfast at the Red Ocateil, it was very good. The grocery store had everything we needed, even a butcher shop that hand trimmed our steaks. About a 2 hour drive to San Diego along winding roads with hilltop views. The pictures just don't so it justice, Highly Recommended!”
