View outstanding!! Furniture and beds clean, good quality, and comfortable. Nice large dining table for 8. Upstairs master bedroom had huge lovely bathroom with 2 sinks. Convenient to walk down couple flights of stairs to sand, lounge chairs and out to pier and pool. It did have an elevator to go to second floor but it broke the day we got there and they were repairing the whole parking lot so only street parking. The staff went beyond to help everyone with bags and groceries. ”

Fantastic view

What a pleasure to step out onto your deck and take in the gorgeous site of Lake Tahoe beyond! All the ‘toys’ on the beach, SUP, kayaks, cone hole, are available for for a prefect beach day on the lake. We enjoyed the club social parties and yoga on the pier was amazing. The units are are lovely, well appointed and very clean with daily maid service. A true 5 star resort. ”

Great Stay at Tonopalo

Tonopalo is a nice community right on the lake with wonderful views! We stayed in a wonderful condominium with all the amenities we needed and plenty of room. Tonopalo is close to restaurants, stores and only 10 minutes to Northstar Ski ! We loved it ! ”

Beautiful Peaceful Place!

We absolutely loved our week stay at Tonopalo! Beautiful furnishings by a great design team, well kept property, beautiful lake views and right on the beach, friendly and accommodating staff, very homey feel. This location is close to just about anything you would choose to do around the Lake. We took our 4 children, and there was plenty of space to hang out or dine. We have previously stayed up the mountain at the Ritz Resort. I love that also, but it was great to be on the beach and so close to restaurants and shopping. We will definitely go back to stay at Tonopalo! ”

Wonderful Stay

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Due to weather and road closures we were unable to arrive on our scheduled date. The staff communicated wonderfully making sure I would have access when ever we were able to arrive. The location is in North Shore with some dining close by and far more choices within a 30 min drive. The unit is very comfortable. While some of the decor is a bit dated, the bed and linens were all update to date, fresh and clean. If the kitchen was lacking an item you only need to call the front desk for assistance. Nice gym on property too. 1 parking spot close by, but more parking across the street.”

Tahoe ski trip

Our time at Tonopalo was excellent. The accommodations were nice and the staff was hospitable and warm. We skied at Heavenly and Northstar 3 days and we snow shoed at a close by park on the staffs recommendation! We enjoyed the hot tub and the spectacular views over the lake! The staff also gave us some recommendations for food and our favorite was a steakhouse up the road that was excellent! If you enjoy outside activities in a beautiful part of the country this spot will not disappoint. Jess Washburn”

Too Much of a Good Thing

WE had a lovely stay at Tonopalo in January 2017...the unit was very comfortable and the views across the lake were spectacular, especially on the one day it where it stopped snowing! The unit itself comfortably slept 6 adults. ( WE would have found it too crowded had we had an additional two adults who would have been relegated to the sofa). The Kitchen was well equipped and because it snowed so much we stayed in for our meals, and played board games which we borrowed from the front desk andwe experienced a power outage that lasted most of a day...Tonopalo was prepared and had battery operated lanterns for our use. We would love to come back again and experience the joys of walking around lake Tahoe as well as skiing at the nearby resorts.... Although our week was limited by the ski resorts being closed due to high winds and too much snow, it was still a lovely place to be snowed in!”

Spectacular Property

This is such a spectacular property located on one of the most beautiful lakes in the world! There is so much to do and see at Lake Tahoe, or you can simply kick back and enjoy the beautiful vistas! Tonopalo offers a lot of perks for during your stay, including a cocktail social on Saturday evenings where they serve complimentary beer, wine and appetizers! In the summer there are several events, including a barbecue they host for all of the guests with drinks for the kids and Margaritas for the adults. The staff are really gracious and super accommodating! Tonopalo also owns a boat that is available for rent for tubing, etc. and includes a boat captain. You can also bring your own boat and reserve one of the bouys. There are so many things to do and see. We can't wait to go back!”

Just loved it

We had a super time in Lake Tahoe, and managed to take advantage of some of the best Spring skiing Squaw Valley has seen in over 60 years . The condo Tonopalo was amazing and only 15 min to skiing , 5 min to supermarkets and restaurants. The whole area is beautiful . We were treated great by Joe and all staff. Joe is now an honorary member of the Costa Rica Ski Team. Thanks everyone for a great stay . ”

We cannot say enough about our stay at Tonopalo. First of all Compliments to the dynamic helpful staff who enhanced our experience. Great location right on beautiful Lake Tahoe with an outstanding view. The unit and the property were very comfortable with excellent amenities. We were able to ski at four different mountains and blessed with 5 feet of snow before our arrival. Would not hesitate to return in winter or summer. It even has a beach. Sonia,Raymond and family ”

Winter paradise

This was a very luxurious, yet cozy home on the lake. The staff was very attentive and willing to set up a Christmas tree and get groceries for us. The restaurants were nearby with quant local options. We look forward to returning in the summer. We truly enjoyed our stay.”

Set on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe (the views!!!), Tonopalo does not disappoint. The unit was beautiful, immaculate, and extremely well stocked. And if you need anything special (slow cooker, decanters, etc), they are available on request. Nice fluffy towels and soft bathrobes, gorgeous bathrooms! Large common room, library, game room, and exercise room. There wasn’t much snow for skiing, however hiking was incredible. But the best thing is the staff. Helpful beyond words, it’s clear that everyone enjoys being in the hospitality business.”

Great place with beautiful views of the lake. You are right on the lake with a sandy beach in front. Located between Incline Village and Tahoe City, or about 25 min from Trukee on the north side of the lake. The team was very helpful with all our questions and requested. There were just 4 of us and we were perfectly comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a daily cleaning service which was a plus. I do recommend it. Mihaela Varga”
