Perfect summer week

This is the perfect vacation spot for my grandkids. We can walk to everything the beach, the ice cream shop, Dinner etc. and never have to get in a car. All the charming little walks remind me of a European village. Add a hot tub on top and it’s like a cherry on the Sunday”

Good Location, Nice View

The house is really cute, nicely furnished and decorated, and in a great neighborhood. Though it sleeps a lot of people, it is compact. Very easy walk down to town and the beach, and nice to have the open bluff overlook of Monterey Bay at the end of the block, as well as the Shadow Brook Restaurant at the other end of the street. It would have been nice to have had access to a barbeque, as well as a better equipped kitchen. There were few pots and pans or kitchen tools, and no blender. We had to provide paper towels, napkins and kleenex. It would also have been nice to be able to have some drawer and closet space in the master bedroom, which was crowded with the owners' belongings. We have come to expect all these things in Third Home exchanges, especially for 5 keys in the winter. Other than the owner emailing the house intstructions, we had no contact with them. My last email went unanswered. Again, not what we've come to expect from a Third Home experience.”

The Capitola Beach House was outstanding. Luxurious accommodation. Beautiful location. Owners extremely helpful and gracious So much to do and see and most within walking distance. Other attractions were within a short driving distance. Definitely will go back again if opportunity arises. Would give 6 stars if I could. Maybe 10!!!”

Amazing location by the beach in Capitola!!

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous Capitola home two seconds from the beach. Everything was so turn key wit this home starting with the coded entry (no key hassles) as you enter. The views of the ocean from the 2nd story outside deck are amazing and the shops/restaurants of downtown Capitola are two seconds away as you walk down the stairs towards the beach and hang a simple left. The upstairs master bedroom also has a cute little deck that looks out into the backyard/hot tub area and all 3 bedrooms downstairs are very comfortable as well. We really enjoyed our conversations in the kitchen area over a glass of wine around the big granite island prep area as well....and the big screen tv with a fireplace below it was a comfortable place to watch some football and movies. We also loved that you can walk to one of our favorite restaurants, Shadowbrook, for dinner. My Mom just turned 70 so we took her there for a very nice dinner one of the nights. I would stay at this home again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to other Third Home members as well. Santa Cruz is also two seconds away from Capitola (although Capitola far more charming) and you're also a very short drive from Monterey and Carmel from this home if you'd like to explore a bit. Thanks again to the fantastic owners in making your home available....we appreciate it and treated the home as if it was our own.”
