Outstanding San Miguel Experience

Casa Cariño was the perfect setting for our “friends retreat” with seven couples. The home feels like a castle, with beautiful outdoor decks and terraces spread across three levels. The dining room and multiple gathering spaces—both inside the house and around the pool—offered the ideal balance of privacy and inviting social areas where we could enjoy each other’s company. The staff, led by Abraham, were incredible and provided the best customer service imaginable. The meals were outstanding, with a menu that offered something for everyone. One of the many added conveniences was transportation to the downtown plaza and nearby attractions. San Miguel is my favorite city in Mexico, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time in the beautiful plaza, surrounded by music, art, and sensational restaurants. The combination of the home and the city made for a truly perfect vacation. The owner, Minnie, was extremely helpful in preparing us for our trip. I hope to return!”

I can’t say enough about beautiful Casa Carino! It’s a lovely home with plenty of rooms for visitors and friends. The most special thing about it though is the staff! Pepe, Juan, Josue, Alicia, Rebecca, Lulu and Chucho! So accommodating and sweet! Alicia prepared the most beautiful breakfasts and lunches for 8 of us. We arrived very late the first night and a lovely dinner was waiting. Juan and Josue were always available to drive us to dinner, into town and on shopping excursions. Pepe was constantly watching over us to make sure we had all the food and beverages we needed. We were spoiled! Highly recommend a visit to this amazing little gem! ”

Simply the Best

Casa Carino is the best residence I have ever visited in my life! Period! It is located high above San Miguel with awesome views of the city and its churches from the multiple decks and levels of the home. The rotunda at the center of the house spans 3 stories and is a remarkable site. With several fireplaces both inside and outside and numerous sitting areas throughout the residence, there are so many tantalizing spots to hang out and talk, play games or just meditate. The 7, yes 7, bedrooms are each unique and the master bedroom and enormous bathroom is large, classy and like it's own separate apartment. Casa Carino is part castle, part stately mansion and part museum. At night it is absolutely magical to look at when it is completely lit up. If the uniqueness and beauty of the actual residence wasn't enough to make for an unforgettable week, the house staff definitely put it over the top. The house menu offers any number of Mexican specialties and the cocinera (chef) is exceptional. Finally, Casa Carino is located in arguably Mexico's coolest city, San Miguel. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, San Miguel is a cultural and artistic delight for visitors. This home and this City is not to be missed. ”

The staff is superb, taking care of our every need and driving us to local destinations. The cook was excellent, with each meal perfectly prepared. Even though San Miguel de Allende has many fine restaurants, we preferred the comfort, quality and service of dining at this magnificent home.
