Villa Coronado on the Mexican Caribbean!
We love our oceanfront villa! The scuba diving in Cozumel is world class with warm waters and over 100 ft of visibility. Jacques Cousteau made Cozumel famous in the 1960s and since then it has become a diving mecca. Not a diver? Then you can snorkel, go to one of many beach clubs, shop, or just have fun! There are amazing fine dining opportunities on the island as well. Cozumel is fast becoming a foodie destination.
Our home has as much outdoor space as indoor space. Wide verandas, sun decks, and a roof with a palapa and shower are irresistible, especially during the sunset! Comfortable lounge chairs are available for relaxing and sunbathing.
All bedrooms in the villa are "master suites". Each has a balcony/terrace and a private bath. The ocean views from three of the four master suites and the rooftop terrace are a magnificent feature of this luxurious private villa. The fourth master suite overlooks the rainforest/jungle. There is a futon in our second living area upstairs where another person could sleep, or 2 children. We also have air mattresses. Flat screen televisions with dvd Netflix and cable are downstairs in the living room and bedroom; the television in the second living area upstairs has cable, Netflix and dvd; another 2 televisions with dvd and Netflix.
Our home was elegantly yet simply designed and furnished for the utmost comfort. Much of the furniture is covered with Sunbrella fabrics. The decor is rustic Mexican modern, light and airy, the floor plan is open with 10 foot ceilings.
There is an outdoor built-in gas grill and rolling ice chest.
Villa Coronado welcomes children and pets, but please keep in mind that the house may not be suitable for very young children. We ask that children are always supervised.

Whether you are a diver, snorkeler or a fishing enthusiast, Cozumel has water sports for just about anyone. The island people are very friendly and family oriented, and shorts will do for any restaurant on the island. Cozumel is easy, breezy and has few (if any!) pretensions. We love our second home and appreciate the casual, easy going feel of the island.
The villa is a perfect wedding venue and a great yoga retreat as well!

Villa Coronado looks over the Caribbean Sea facing west, toward the mainland. Sunsets are fantastically colorful....watching them from the roof palapa is absolutely amazing! There is a small road between the villa and the ocean, which is one way only. There are bikers, scooters, walkers...but traffic moves only south. Snorkeling and shore diving are available in front of the house and along the coast. The ocean in front of the house is reef, so the entry has coral rock, bring your dive booties or lake shoes! We also have PURIFIED WATER in the house from all taps!

We had a bit of a snafu when we arrived to the island. Tam’s transformer blew up. She was very accommodating and put up our large group in a very nice condo complex down the street. Thank you thank you! A few days later we were able to enjoy the Villa. The home is perfectly located with ocean views and many activities out the back door. We went diving with Mario and he even certified a couple of our group. Tam’s home is perfect if you want to enjoy Mexico in style and outstanding if you are a scuba diver! Thanks again Tammy. Hope to be back soon. :) -David Hagen”
What a great location! We loved every minute! Thanks again!”
We had an amazing time at Villa Coronado. Everything was perfect and in fact, much better than the pictures made it look. The location on the island was great, just out of town so we rented a van from Fox for about $260 USD for the week to make our vacation complete. It saved $ but more importantly time for our many jaunts to different areas of the island The house was very comfortable, had breakfast in every morning, a couple of lunches and used the BBQ one night for dinner. Beds were comfortable and the pool was awesome. We live in Hawaii and our house is also located on the beach so our standards and expectations were high and Villa Coronado did not disappoint. Had a few days of great scuba diving and also snorkeled right in front of the house. I highly recommend walking about 100 yards to the right as you exit the house to the building with a small pier and snorkel from there as the reef was really amazing. Be sure to eat at Buccano's at Night, our hostess Laurie recommended it and it was amazing. Also highly recommend La Cocay (in town) and Chen Rio (on the other side of the island for lunch. Thanks for the memories, we had an amazing time!”
