Amazing, expansive beachfront home

Unbelievable location - you can’t get a better beach spot and there is not one detail, furnishing, beach desire that is not addressed in the home. From pool toys , beach towels, kitchen equipment - everything is provided & explained in detail. Our multi generation family enjoyed the space to both be together and apart in this expansive home. We have rented many beach houses and none compare to this. Nice touch to have an outdoor dining table big enough for a large group with ocean views. Owner and local host very responsive to questions. ”

We had up to 14 people at the house at one time. Lots of great cooks who loved all the kitchen amenities. The pool was so warm and perfect. We had so much fun pool side on the amazing patio furniture and umbrellas. This is the perfect house!”

Outstanding ....again

See my previous review of this property for more information.... This property is beyond perfect. The owner really wants to hear about your experience and will take immediate action to improve even the smallest details. On this visit we had a number of "cooks" in the kitchen. They loved how well appointed the kitchen was with all the standard tools you would need and even some of the more specialized pans and tools of the trade! We used the kitchen almost non stop. Turns out cooking is even more fun with views and sounds of the ocean. On this visit the pool and the hot tub were used a LOT. The icemaker and the 'fridge in the pool area were such a great addition. We were able to spend hours down at the pool without having to run up and down the stairs. There is nothing I don't love about this property and look forward to many more stays! ”

Look no further - you found PERFECTION

The entire process and experience was outstanding. The owner is a true professional. Excellent communication prior to arrival, phenomenal instructions for just about everything within the house. The property (it's more than just a house) is OUTSTANDING. Decorated very personally and warmly. Everything is in great condition and high quality. Perhaps you frequent 8 bedroom homes. I, sadly, do not. This place is HUGE. You can lose your bearings in this house. No matter the size of your gathering, you will find quiet places for yourself. The THREE full size washer and dryers (1 on each of the bedroom levels) were an unexpected and appreciated surprise. The elevator, which we thought of as a novelty, turned out to be soooo nice in getting luggage and groceries up and down. You can't even imagine how close you are to the ocean. We even had to close the windows as it was too loud at that moment to hold a telephone conversation. A problem I'll take any day. The pool area and other outside seating areas are LUXURIOUS. So much seating, both shaded and unshaded. The pool is gorgeous as is the hot tub. I'd never been to North TopSail before. The property is minutes from all the normal shopping, fast food, liquor store (and a great BBQ spot called Smoky Tony's). That said, when you're at the house, it feels like a different world. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our time at Idyll by the Sea. I am capable of being very critical but this property did not even come close to sparking that. But for the sake of not being too flattering, I'll share the only issues that could possibly be less than perfect. All of the beach rentals we visit in NC seem to suffer from terrible pillows. this is the case here as well, however you have so many, you can make a great pillow nest There is a great steam shower in the master bath. Steam showers are notorious for being difficult to keeping perfectly clean. In a vacation rental, I can only imagine it's even more difficult. As such, this one area was not as meticulous as the rest of the house. Even with those to exceedingly minor notes, I would stay here again with no hesitation. We have stayed at over 14 houses at Bald Head Island. None of those houses met the standard set by this owner. If you have the opportunity, do yourself a favor and stay here!”
