Here the water is usually calm and a gorgeous aqua color, and beach staff prepare your chaises and umbrellas.\\r\\n\\r\\nBut the coup de grace is the wonderful staff at Bon Vivant, several of whom have been on site for 15-30 years. From 6AM to 10PM, a staff of six cater to your every whim, preparing healthy and delicious meals -- true 'farm to table -- and mixed tropical drinks of whatever you desire. This is the epitome of gracious vacationing, being cared for by local professionals; mingling with the staff members made us feel more a part of Barbados than we would have otherwise had we been at a large hotel, no matter how nice. Often the staff would call ahead for us and when we arrived they already had our chairs and umbrellas set up for all 11 of us. The food was very good there as well and the drinks were great. The beach is beautiful. You can take a short drive or 15 minute walk up to Holletown Beach for great snorkeling and lots of restaurants on the water. Not to mention shopping and other activities. The outside space was perfect for enjoying the beautiful sunsets after an afternoon by the pool, the pool is just a few minutes stroll, loads of space to sun bath and swim. The indoor areas were so spacious, lovely to chill for the evening with a spacious balcony with outside dinning and BBQ area, Ann (Owner) was lovely to deal with and just on the end of the phone if needed and this was very much appreciated. The beach is sandy, lovely and quiet and terrific for swimming. So much so that we did not often use the beach membership to the Fairmont Hotel, although that was delightful for lunch. It is very close to all amenities, and to Holetown and to Speightstown and it is easy to come and go from this location. Housekeeping services and assistance was provided for our entire stay with thanks. We very much look forward to returning to this lovely home. Our two week stay was wonderful.
