We also enjoyed walking many of the streets close to the Penthouse, especially Magazine Street which has a plethora of excellent restaurants. Kathleen, the owner of the Penthouse, was amazingly cordial and helpful. She emailed recommendations for dining as well as sights and activities of interest. While we would have had to stay a month or more to go and do and dine at all of those places, we did fill up our week nicely and left plenty to do at a later date. Her recommendations were spot on, and we prospected a couple more, including a late night visit to Les Bon Temps Roule bar/café on Magazine St where we enjoyed the very late night music of a local, and excellent, brass band, The Soul Rebels.
