Outside pool chairs / umbrella are ripped, broken or torn. A lot of the light bulbs were out. \\n\\nWe paid $100 for the pool to be heated but four of those days the pool had algae and had not been cleaned. The hot tub was also drained for those four days. So we ere unable to use it. The home theater with surround sound and its own fireplace is where we all spent most evenings. The casita located just outside the front door was perfect for the couple that had issues with stairs. The house could not be more perfect in both design and location.\\nWe purchased a San Diego City Pass and hit all of the major attractions - Sea World, San Diego Zoo, LegoLand, Old Town Trolley, City Cruise and tour of the USS Midway. LegoLand was about 15 minutes away and we never spent more than 40 minutes to the other attractions even in commute traffic. Because we were out everyday, we didn't really get a chance to enjoy the massive backyard. It had everything you could ever want and than some. A large gas fireplace was surrounded by a plush seating area, changing room/bathroom combo, pickleball \\u0026 basketball courts, BBQ \\u0026 bar, sand entry pool w/spa, two dining areas, hammock + swing slider and putting green completed this oasis. Also, a State beach was just a couple of miles away. \\nOn a final note, the owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The Matthews have thought of everything, including detailed security that allows you to access the house keyless, yet fully secured. Direct access to the gorgeous beach and fun surf in front of the house was worth the trip alone!! We surfed every day and the kids enjoyed all of the sand toys that were stocked in the garage. Heading down the steps directly to the beach allowed us to leverage our beach time, avoiding cars/packing/parking and melt downs. We enjoyed the beach so much and appreciated the private access to no end!\\r\\nOne of our friends is an avid cook, who maximized every opportunity to utilize the well designed and stocked kitchen. The open floor plan allows you to have family meals, relaxed great room comfort and panoramic views of the Pacific.....perfect, just perfect! The Matthews are very thoughtful and equipped us with detailed information prior to our arrival, allowing us to begin a fun vacation immediately. Tastefully decorated and fully stocked with the essentials ( spices, paper towels, soap, etc). The beach is a 4 min cart ride away and the center of town 5 min away. Perfectly located in a charming neighborhood with unique homes and manicured lawns. Close to the freeway as well. Kristin ( the owner) and Shannon ( property manager) are both very responsive and kind.
