Great Value Zero-Key Stay - Know Before You Go

We booked a 2-bedroom condo with zero keys - the value for what we got was amazing. Massive square footage, well-appointed throughout, and a private terrace with a hot tub overlooking a wide, uncrowded Pacific beach. The Pacific side means no swimming, but the beach stays quiet and open - which was a highlight in itself. Property access to the beach is seamless. A few things to know before you go: Construction is significant and ongoing across the entire Diamante site. Dirt roads are the norm and noise starts early. If you plan to head out for activities around 8am anyway, it’s manageable but light sleepers or those expecting a polished resort environment should set expectations accordingly. This also seems to reflect most of Cabo right now, not just Diamante. Golf access – read this carefully. If you’re booking here specifically to play the Diamante courses at a discount, verify everything in writing before you arrive. We were told by phone that a 50% member discount applied to resort guests. It did not. This became a significant issue on arrival. No discount is available unless you have an actual Diamante membership. Do not take a verbal confirmation on this. Management transition: Tafer recently took over operations. The front-line staff are genuinely friendly and attentive. That said, timeshare pitches are woven into the experience - at check-in, during amenity tours, etc. Just decline politely and move on, it’s not aggressive, but it’s persistent. Overall a strong property for the right traveler - beach access, space, and the hot tub terrace are real highlights. Go in with clear expectations on construction, golf pricing, and the sales environment and you’ll have a great stay.”

The Ocean Club is under major construction and we were fine there on Saturday and Sunday, but on Monday the Jackhammer started. We moved to The Dunes, which is nice, but not on the ocean. The Golf is very good, the food is expensive and mediocre. They did a turtle release which was special. The property is massive, so there is plenty to do. It is a 30 minute drive to get to Cabo or the Marina, but you are on the Pacific side, which gives you a beautiful sunset.”

We really enjoyed staying in the 2 bedroom on the 7th floor! The whales were everywhere and the Sunset on that side of the building were breathtaking every night! We left the sliding door open to hear the waves crashing! Beware that come May 1st 2025. Construction begins on building expansion!”

The room is amazing. The shuttles around the resort are great. The golf is second to none. The only downside is just the amount of construction. We didn’t hear it but it’s not beautiful. ”

The property and golf is wonderful. Much better than high traffic all inclusive. The food was excellent, especially the Woods. Only draw back is the amount of construction. It was not loud but our room looked over a total construction site with partial water and pool views. ”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Diamante. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The cleaners did a fabulous job every day. The restaurants had great food. The golf courses were in fantastic shape. It was a 10 out of a 10 stay. We will be back.”

The people are nice and the room was delightful. What I did not like was work out/weight room not included and charged us $20 per person per day. No cash allowed on property. Not many events planned on property. We left the property many days of the week. No grocery store near by to cook our own meals.”

Resort under construction, Great secluded beach

The 2 bed, 3 bath ocean facing ground floor unit was very nice, The resort itself is not completed. It’s all dirt roads & youll need to drive everywhere on the 1500 acre property to go to the gym, the lagoon, the pool are all in different complexes. Our building that we stayed in , the back of it is not complete. If the resort was complete Ir would be really nice . They charge 320$ to golf at either of their courses, which in my opinion is too expensive to pay for a round of golf.”

We loved everything about our Pearl accommodations at OCR in Diamanté. The custom finishes were impressive and daily maid service was a pleasant bonus. All staff were helpful, courteous, and informative. Except for the wind, it was perfect in every way. ”

Diamante has so much going for it but the construction noise and continous maintenance noise are off the charts. It was hard to sit outside at anytime of the day.”

Paradise Under Construction

We had a great time at Diamante. Accommodations were excellent however the second bedroom is windowless. Great for dark sleeping but no morning view. Played golf on El Cardonal, the Par 3 Oasis course and enjoyed the 15 hole putting course. The Dunes was closed for most of our visit for maintenance. We enjoyed kayaking at the lagoon and the fitness center. Meals were top notch at Izzy’s and The Market for breakfast. There was a lot of construction going on but other than a little dust, it was not an issue. It was windy and cooler than expected for the first part of the week. We used the pool and hot tubs almost daily and had an enjoyable visit. Once the resort is complete, it will be an amazing Paradise!”

Paradise on the Pacific

The Pearl Residence was beautiful with the expected high end finishes. There were gorgeous views from the living room as well as the master bedroom, each with its own balcony; the living room balcony had a large outdoor jacuzzi. There was some construction as noted in the listing but this unit was far enough away that there was no noise. The resort's exiting facilities are amazing and more improvements are on the way. Shuttle service is provided to the restaurants and water park. We had a great time.”

Beautiful 2 bedroom condo. Staff was awesome. However, very isolated and unfortunately we got a low floor with a marginal view. Maybe because we are Thirdhome members and not Diamanté members? Be prepared for construction noise 6 days a week which looks like will continue for years to come. ”

Lovely get away

We had a ground level room that had wonderful views and quick access to the pool and hot tub. Room is spacious and well appointed. Staff is on top of all aspects of your stay and go out of their way to meet your every need. There are a couple areas where improvement is needed. As in the past the pool is too cold considering how warm the weather was. The shower has a lovely shower head that is overshadowed by a very low water pressure, robbing you of a luxurious indulgent shower. That being said you can't go wrong with the the Ocean Club Residences. Just a heads up that there is new construction of a building taking place and combined with the ocean breezes will make your car very dusty every day. ”

Quiet and Beautiful

This is a repeat visit for us and we really enjoy the setting and the staff. It looks like they stopped construction on OCR about a year ago and it is probably only 30%-40% complete. Therefore you need to drive or take a shuttle to the gym, restaurants, etc. It feels more like a private condo than a resort. That works well for us, but we definitely recommend having a rental car if you are going to stay here. The units are very high quality but smaller than Grand Solmar and the 2nd bedroom does not have any windows. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. ”
