Great location, floorpan and town.

We stayed here for spring break. The house is really great for those w/ teens or larger groups. The kids loved the rooftop deck and had their own space downstairs. The townhouse is one block from the center of historic town w/ the cutest shops and excellent bars and restaurants. We walked daily outside of the downtown and the area is really nice and safe. Loved that the beach was just 2 miles down the street. The only negative is the railroad right next to the house but only had a couple early morning wake ups during our week stay. We would stay there again for sure. Loved it there. Amelia Island, Fernandina is a cute area. ”

Surf, Sand & Postcard Sunsets....

is exactly what is found on Amelia Island. This wonderful property is perfect for a family vacation, romantic getaway, or "I need to chill and relax." This is our second stay at Sunsets on Amelia River, and definitely will not be our last. Everything you could need/want is at your fingertips. We enjoyed morning coffee and evening "adult beverages" on the back deck and the rooftop too. The beds are comfy, the kitchens is well-appointed, and the rooftop is definitely worth your attention. Rooftop sunsets are a daily must-do! We love the fact that downtown is a 2 block walk, inviting you to shop, dine, and just walk around. Should you desire to put your feet in the sand, the beach is a 5 minute drive away. Tim is readily accessible should you have questions or need help. If you read this far, kindly read my review from our first stay. I promise you will not want to leave and when you do, will put it on your list of "must go again" places. ”

Great golf trip!

We took our son on a golf trip to Amelia Island and Sunsets of Amelia River was a wonderful home base for us on this special trip! We loved the bright, open kitchen and bedrooms were very nice and comfortable. Tim was a great communicator and we appreciated his flexibility with our late checkout. We would stay here again. Fernandina Beach - Amelia Sunsets

The location and the residence were both fantastic!! We were only steps from the historical downtown area of Fernandina Beach and a short bike or car ride to the beach! We would definitely pick this location again for a great holiday. The host was very helpful and provided great information for our stay !!”

Amelia River

We chose this location for my mom's birthday because she had wanted for us to go to Cumberland Island for a while. We wanted to spend a week but didn't want to stay on Cumberland Island for a whole week. We happened upon this location and had such a great time here. The house is so nicely located on the river so you can see the boats coming and going from the really rooftop. The sunsets are the best I've ever seen anywhere. We were parked on the rooftop for them every evening. The downtown is one block away with the cutest restaurants and shops one street over. The area is chocked full of nooks and crannies and history. There are bikes so you can ride through the cute downtown and past some historical landmarks to the beach. The boat tour which starts from two or three blocks away is an ideal way to see Cumberland Island. I grew up going to the different beaches in Florida and had never experienced this beach. It is a gem, you will love it! ”

Paradise Found.....

Amelia Island is a charming, quaint city and we have been visiting there for 45+ years, always staying at the beach. Staying downtown, right on the Amelia River, experiencing the life of the town and the incredible sunsets, is unbelievably amazing. The townhouse is beautiful, impeccably furnished, fabulous layout with every feature you can imagine. It is warm, inviting, and truly just perfect. From the kitchen appliances, to the comfy beds, everything you could want/need/desire is at your fingertips. The back deck and upper deck are the places for sunset watching, reading your favorite book, or just chilling! The owner, Tim, was very helpful with any questions we had and/or issues encountered. Aside from the dwelling, walking downtown to Centre Street to shop, dine, or just get ice cream is fun. There is something for everyone.... great dining, music-filled bars, fabulous art galleries, and interesting shops for clothing, souvenirs, etc., etc. We will most definitely be going back because Sunsets on the Amelia River is..... Paradise Found! ”

We had a great holiday and enjoyed the home. We spent time on the rooftop playing cornhole and talking and sometimes singing around the fire pit. The scenery was the change of scene we were looking for—(the marina, the charming town and near by beaches). We loved being able to walk to restaurants and shops and also learn local history. We had gorgeous sunsets and inspirational views of nature. A soul-renewing visit! ”
