House Details:
Shared spaces: The living room sets the stage for the rest of the home with a stunning custom wooden ceiling and a sitting area ideal for conversation or quiet time with an enjoyable book. The large family room offers ample lounge seating around a gas fireplace and wide-screen TV. The separate sophisticated dining room seats 8 comfortably and has access to the outdoor grill. Or guests can dine under the trees at the 8-seat teak table on the deck.

Kitchen: The open floor-plan gourmet kitchen is fully stocked and well-suited for serving large groups. With all stainless appliances, a center butcher-block island, and extended counters and barstool seating that invites gatherings and informal dining around the kitchen.

Game room: A large game room located off the entry hallway has a large TV for movies and video games. Additional activities include air hockey, foosball, darts, cornhole, and board games.

Bedrooms: There are 6 bedrooms to sleep 14 guests comfortably (house is limited to max. 8 adults and 6 children under 16yrs). Each space is thoughtfully furnished and outfitted with quality beds and linens to ensure everyone has a restful stay. A queen bedroom located on the ground level is convenient for guests not wanting to climb stairs while all other bedrooms are on the second floor.

Bedroom-1, located on the ground floor has a Queen bed, deck access, and a nearby full bathroom.
Bedroom-2 is the Master suite equipped with a king post bed, modern workspace, TV, and en suite master bath (Jacuzzi tub, standing shower, and large walk-in closet). Bedroom-3 has a queen bed, workspace, and en suite bathroom with shower. Bedroom-4 offers a queen bed.
Bedroom-5 has a full-over-full bunk bed to accommodate adults or children (includes a trundle and a full-size futon).
Bedroom-6 has twin-over-full and twin-over-twin bunk sets and is perfect for children.

Shared Bathrooms: The first floor has a half-bathroom and full bathroom with steam/shower. A shared bathroom upstairs provides a shower/tub combo and double sinks.

The outdoors: The front has a wraparound porch with Adirondack seating. There are four sliding glass doors leading to the large deck surrounded by peaceful forest. The deck boasts an extra-large grill station with a sink, an 8-seat dining table, and sectional and chez-lounge seating around the extra-large Jacuzzi tub. Other outside amenities include a volleyball/bad mitten court, ping-pong table, and spin bikes for further enjoyment and exercise.

Nearby: Out the front door, guests can find hiking and mountain biking trails! Within one 1-mile is a grocery store, two public golf courses, and a community center with tennis, and pickleball courts. Lake Tahoe and beach access are 6 miles away. The town of South Lake Tahoe is a 10-mile drive and features Heavenly and Edgewood Resorts, State-Line casinos, and events centers. Kirkwood Resort and Caples Lake are 30 miles away.

Chateau de Corbeau is ideally situated to provide a forest environment and easy access to all South Lake Tahoe’s activities. Explore the many shores and parks of California and Nevada all in one day! While visiting, be sure to explore Heavenly Village, a vision of South Tahoe dotted with restaurants, shops, and various activities for every season.
Tahoe Rental Ordinance
The following laws were set forth by the county and apply to every home in Tahoe. They were put in place to keep Lake Tahoe an enjoyable and safe place to visit for years to come! 🙂
1. The hot tub cannot be used after 10pm (if this home has one)
2. 10pm - 8am is the county quiet time for all rentals.
3. Trash cannot be left outside and must go into the bear box.
4. We cannot host extra people or allow parties.
5. We cannot accomodate extra cars, parking on the street or dirt.
PLEASE NOTE: Neighbors may alert the police who will issue fines to guests found to be in violation. In order to protect this owner’s permit, we reserve the right to ask guests to leave if this happens.
