January 2026Great group stay
We had a lovely stay here as a group of ten. It’s a beautiful old, historic house with lots of character, and the large kitchen and living room were perfect for spending time together as a group. The location is excellent too — close to local amenities and easy to get around. The house is clearly well set up for group stays, including hen and stag dos, with plenty of communal space. Communication was great throughout our stay, and the house manager was friendly, helpful, and quick to respond whenever we needed anything. When we asked for a hairdryer, one was provided, though it’s worth bringing your own if you need one. As it’s an older property, it can feel a little draughty in some rooms, so if you’re visiting in the winter months it’s worth packing some warm clothes. Overall, a great option for a large group looking for space, character, and a convenient location.”
