Originally designed by the renowned architect Robert Hartley in the early 1960s, Bambu features an impressive combination of classic West Indies architecture mixed with Italian Venetian style and Palladian arches, and updated to include all the modern conveniences you'd expect in a high luxe estate.

Guests enter the house through a wrought, iron gate and double mahogany doors, straight into an impressive and welcoming double-level entry hall with 40-foot ceilings, antique brick floors, and limestone walls. Climb up the circular staircase and find yourself given access to the primary living spaces via covered walkways. You’ll spend your time enshrouded with luxury, luxuriating in plush sofas that are surrounded by large windows, allowing for ample amounts of natural light to flood the space. The seamless blend of indoor and outdoor luxury paired with high, dome-like ceilings lets warm, ocean breezes run cool you off all day long.

When dinner rolls around, take advantage of your gorgeous, state of the art kitchen, outfitted with gourmet amenities that will ensure all of your creations are cooked to perfection. You can make use of this space on your own, or allow your personal cook to whip you up a delicious and authentic Jamaican meal. During your stay, you’ll also have access to a butler, gardener, housekeeping, and laundry service, all there to make your stay as relaxing as possible.

This home offers six incredible en-suite bathrooms, offering you exotic elegance and unparalleled privacy. The master suite boasts a four-poster king-sized bed, along with French doors that open up to a covered verandah with breathtaking views of the sea. Enjoy access to separate, travertine marble his and hers bathrooms, both with double shower heads. The next two bedrooms also offer king-sized beds with marble bathrooms, and the fourth bedroom has a queen bed. Bedroom number five has two full-sized beds, and the final bedroom is the children’s room, outfitted with charming bunk beds.

On the east side of the main level of the home, a large arched opening gives access to the exquisite pool area. You’ll spend hours out here, basking in the Caribbean sun and refreshing yourself in the cool waters. Bambu Villa is set in a beautifully landscaped grounds, with well-manicured lawns bordered by lush, tropical flora. There are wild white begonias, three varieties of heliconia, rare Bromeliads, and so much more. You’ll enjoy the interesting collection of Palm trees, including Fox Tail, Chinese Fan, and Lady Palms. The grounds are well fruited with oranges, limes, papayas, and more. Tucked away in the garden, you’ll find a treehouse and playhouse, perfect for the little ones.

This property is conveniently located for wonderful access to everything Jamaica and Montego Bay have to offer. You’re a few minutes’ drive from Round Hill, Jamaica’s most elegant hotel.
