Stone Cottage Overlooking Beara

“County Kerry contains some of Ireland’s most iconic scenery.”
Lonely Planet

Punti salienti:

• Restored stone cottage with a separate shepherd’s hut and original hearth

• Expansive views across the Beara Peninsula, framed by mountains, sea and Atlantic light

• Bespoke kitchen with Lacanche range, Duxiana beds and two wood burning stoves

Property Description:

Tír Eile is a carefully restored stone cottage set amid the rugged beauty of County Kerry, with expansive views across the Beara Peninsula shaping the atmosphere of the home. Mountains, sea and shifting Atlantic light create a calm sense of seclusion, while the character of the original cottage has been preserved with warmth and restraint.

The ground floor brings the kitchen, dining and living areas together around the original hearth and wood burning stove. A bespoke kitchen with a Lacanche range and handcrafted cabinetry gives the space a considered, practical elegance, complemented by a generous dining table for shared meals.

Upstairs, two bedrooms feature king size Duxiana beds. One also includes two built in single bunks designed for children, while both rooms offer simple storage in keeping with the cottage's traditional proportions. The bedrooms share a shower room, and a separate utility shed provides extra space for luggage, outdoor gear and laundry.

Alongside the cottage, a shepherd’s hut forms a private third bedroom with its own shower room, wood burning stove and under bed storage. Together, the cottage and hut comfortably accommodate up to six adults and two children.

Outside, a broad gravelled area with tables and chairs invites relaxed meals and quiet time in the open landscape. From here, the uninterrupted outlook toward the Beara Peninsula becomes part of daily life, while Gleesk Pier, Sneem, Kenmare, Derrynane and the wider Iveragh coastline offer rewarding opportunities to explore County Kerry.
